  1. I had a multigym years ago. If I was going to do it again I'd just get a bench, bar bell, dumbbells, and buy one of the captains chairs with pull up bars.

I work on various oil rigs with all kinds of cheap and space saving gym set ups and these work well. Just gotta get a bit creative with your workouts. Look for second hand weights as the weights last for ever. As for the bench, if it wobbles don't buy it

  2. Eeeya!

Did the bank reimburse you, for your loss ?.

called the bank straight away (Australian) and reported it. they cancelled the card and sent me another. Bank said dont pay it, they will cover it and any interest, but will take a couple of months.

they tried one store and got away with it, then the bank blocked the card when they tried another transaction at another luxury goods store.

    all up about $3000.

Im surprised because i consider myself super careful with credit card theft. This particular card was only a low limit card i made for especially for paypal.

If i use any ATM i cover my hand when entering the pin.

I thinking back i might have used it as a security deposit at a hotel in indonesia. but i dont have proof. Card number could have been on a list for years before it got used fruadulently (spelling)

  3. had this happen to me in a medium sized truck. Accelerator just fell to the floor and engine revved up. took me about 0.999574 of a second to reach down and turn off the engine and pull over. Upon inspection the spring on the accelerator cable had snapped.

Though if i was near a school the better option would be to aim it for a wall and use students bodies to cushion the impact.

  4. at the gym I go to the young guys ( in their twenties) work out with weights have no idea of putting equipment back after using it. some afternoons there is nearly every single dumbbell on the floor. Plates everywhere. Some guy sitting on a popular piece of equipment playing with his phone.

The floor staff will come in and tidy the place up and then another guy will destroy it again.

I've been to a lot of gyms in many different countries and the thai gyms are always a mess. I've always wondered if there is any relation between this and being brought up with families or nannies who always clean up after them and do everything for them.

  5. This is more a post for Lakegeneve.

Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation today presented the first BOMBARDIER FLEXITY 2 tram for the Gold Coast Light Rail system.

On the Gold Coast, Australia, a new light rail has been installed and due to open this month.

Yes I have been following it a little. It will finally start next Sunday, 20 July after nearly 6 months of testing the trams on the line. http://www.goldlinq.com.au/

The line has been very controversial for what is a highly car dependent city with construction affecting some business in the middle of Surfers Paradise. However, it will be hugely successful and an extension to link with the Gold Coast Railway line is already planned to start work next year.

Of note is that these are the only trams in the world to have purpose built storage space for surf boards!!!

that blokes no surfer, look how skinny and white he is and those shorts!

  6. Good one eeeya swing back for your ticket back, get the return ticket.

    then continue on.

well actually i just monitor the credit on the swipe cards (MRT and BTS) and when it starts to get a bit low i keep an eye out for when the booth looks empty.

I use them every day and have never stood in a mega cue.
