Just how much of this rubbish was already blocking all the drains and canals around the country pre floods. This incident will go but thais will still dump all the garbage in the rivers and streams and beside the roads and highways. The government should take this oppertunity to educate the people about dumping rubbish and the effects it has on the enviroment. A huge lesson has been dealt here and I hope they take the wakeup call.
A noble idea but doomed to failure. Even in Naklua where there hasnt beem too much rain the market was recently flooded. The root cause, apart from the obvious, was that all the drains were blocked with discarded waste materials from the market --- paper, wood and cardboard boxes.
Education may work -- then again so may praying to some omnipotent being to make the water go away.

Should not happen but sadly crime is everywhere not just Thailand. Learned many years ago if you are going out at night, especially if drinking, leave the valuables at home and dress down.............. you are much less likely to be targeted. If you want to walk around countries like Thailand or the Phillipines flashing gold jewelery expect to be targeted --- its a fact of life.

I know one Thai lady renting out a condo. Normally charges 17 - 25K per month - the latter price being high season. She is charging 40k to people from BKK...... no doubt with the profit she'll make a 100 baht temple donatio to recieve 'merit'.
Hypocricy at its finest.

Every burger I've tried in Pattaya reminded me of Michael Jackson ------ 30 year old meat between 12 year old buns

Pan Pan has great pizza from their wood stove ---- better eaten on site when its just out of the oven........

Bert ---- dont know you but would it be an idea to put or do you have a poppy box in the Regents school ---- lots of Brits around and the school is civic minded - allegedly.

You're not supposed to move accident victims. You should have only pulled him away from the wreck but not move him anywhere else. He could have died from internal bleeding due to your "help."
Where did the OP mention moving the victim??? Having 'put down a few bikes over the years -- if one was lying on me I'd be happy for some kind soul to lift it off. Pulling him away, unless there was immediate danger, wuold not have been very clever --- thats why the rescue services immobilize injured parties before moving them.
To the OP --- well done M8 at least you cared enough to do something.

I'll add that I have seen plenty of tears at funerals here too. Are they just calculated emotions as well?
Perhaps they were just omitted from the will of the bereaved

Will the reference to Celtic fans as 'DFB' be
removed from the Rangers thread too if you
are on a clean up?
And referring to Lennon as TLB is as low as
you can go.
DFB ---- dead flippin brilliant
TLB --- the Lurgan Bigot
Dont see the problem or is that me just being a tosser??

Sorry to be pedantic but its 'The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men. Gang aft agley'
Mind you that will need translating for most TV members.

Ho Ho it's in the Daily Record - it must be true !!
It's your only hope - Rangers go into administration and you win the Championship (maybe).
By default - again same as Sion in Europe.
Surely your own club has enough problems, without looking at your superior rivals.
Your Club has no shame. Any normal club would be embarassed, you're 3rd in a 2 horse race !! - deflect, deny, deceive.
It's the Celtic way , since 1888
Worried aren't you?
The Daily Record and written by Jim Traynor. Know someone in the pub two weeks back..... he was totally bladdered and had pished himself...... yes indeed a credible journalist.
-
Question: In hindsight has your continued participation in the Europa League damaged your slender chances of winning the SPL? Would it have been better not to have protested and to have let Sion go through on merit? Or is TLB just the wrong man for the job?

Does the condo have a pet ban??? The dog itself should be okay in that environment.... make sure it has toys to stop it getting bored ---- if you are out leave the tv or radio on...... helps deter nosey neighbours and soothes the dog.....
good luck

Ok I order books and DVDs from both amazon.co.uk and amazon.com. Delivery from the UK has been as quick as four days. Amazon.com typically ships from their warehouse in Germany but seems to take slightly longer.
I have NEVER been charged on any of the packages.

hi ...
I did the same some months before.
I paid for renew building and all the accommodation 10000€.
Now my girlfriend tells to me, she need 3500€ more for authority's check to hang up for 6 years.
She can buy this by her hirer. My question is:
Does anyone know, your hirer can do things like this?
Does anyone know, if he can, are the contract about 3 years enough?
THX
bit late to be asking these types of questions if you have already stumped up the cash?
It all sounds rather complex - hope the story has a 'happy ending'

Lennon is reported to be on Leicester's shortlist as they seek a replacement following Sven Goran Eriksson's departure earlier this month. ...Neil Lennon distances himself from Leicester job
Good news for Leicster and Rangers

As the man on the train reminds us
MIND THE GAP....... now DFB's 12 points behind the Gers -- hope Motherwell can keep up the chase.

Hopefully Lenny might get them together and explain that it is allowed in the rules to the game to begin the game in an alert state of mind, and no law that says you have to sleep for the first 10 minutes.
It will be fine Sunday if Samaras is taken out of the equation.
Are you watching it on the tinternet, Salty ol' son?
Did not see it at all CB,almost as bad as dial up here.
Things are beginning to look ominous. I hope you were wearing your Sunday Best while you were watching.
Yeah - full Leprechaun outfit complete with ginger beard and green wellies.
Oh I thought only celticbhoy and salty posted wee love notes to each other on this forum
Some sellik fans on the kerrydale forum offering to drive Lennon to Leicster if he is offered the managers job..... I use the term manager loosely.
What happened to 'we are all neil lennon' that cause had all the ob, permanence of an ice cube in Thailand.

Hate to be a party pooper and I hope most people are able to rescue their pets. The upside of the floods may be that when the waters finally subside there will have been a massive reduction in the number of stray dogs menacing BKK residents.:jap:

Steak pie??? How can anyone actually like that commercial crap. Make your own easiest thing in the world.
Or if you are in BKK head to the Huntsman pup in the Landmark hotel --- great steak pies.

Most attempts I've seen at making a decent burger in Thailand (not home-made burgers) remind me oof Michael Jackson.

What is needed in time of national crisis is a strong Churchillian type of leader. Sadly none seem to be emerging. Hope Scotto is right - this has gone on for too long and too many people have suffered / are suffering.
