Iran said to promise Thailand to not target Israelis visiting country
NativeBob replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
... and nicely Jerusalem replied they will no longer launder gazzilions of dollars on Thai soil and ask pimps to stop overcharging Iranian customers.... [see, I can write rubbish too!] -
New requirements for 30 day visa extensions?
NativeBob replied to timoti's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I wonder how would they (IOs) be able to verify submitted documents. Rental contract - just print whatever you find on the Internet, but blue book and Thai ID would be hard to get - thais don't like extra publicity, esp. when they happily evading taxes they ought to pay from rental payments: Income tax on rental and VAT = quite big piece of pie. -
New requirements for 30 day visa extensions?
NativeBob replied to timoti's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
isn't it a little bit excessive for 30 days extension? I rented house for 15+ years and haven't seen any of these papers from our owner/landlord [in Bangkok] -
its a conversation that's funny. You don't answer "no" but rather really dumb "tammaya?" deep in their subconsciousness they remember something about reason to ask. In any given country cop can not just enter any venue and ask passports. they try to save face (that's a big thing in LOS). If you got nothing to hide (terrorist, AMLO, 9/11, 7/11)

Back in Rama9 hospital pediatrician (quite old b*tch) prescribed to my kid probiotics and enzymes when he got viral flu. Orthopedist of the same place (some professor) couldn't recognize goat and prescribed sticky tape and ointment. Both were in their 60+

Polish motorbike rider dies after colliding with a taxi in Kamala
NativeBob replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Ideal solution, btw. I put about 30+ members I don't like to see/read/share and that made life much more pleasant. Don't argue - ignore. or block if you're on twitter -
fancy island of laughing shrooms and full moon parties. I heard that the position at that Eldorado place is about a million thb -> cos' its a freaking gold mine: drugs, illegals, whatever - instant cash flow. Back in 2008 dude was arrested for possesion of 210 pills. After 50K they reduced to 49, and later 19.

So now is the right time to invoke article 4 of NATO, yes? -
KhaoSod (English) as the reliable source? Seriously? Why not direct link to Michelin's page/site?

I thought another reason. please follow: bars make most in the evening. less at daytime and almost nill morning, but smart owner might lure suckers [say] with super-duper discounts? those average farang ding-dong won't resist? I reckon working girls throwing discounts in the morning hours at walking street, why not do the same trick with beer bars? smart time management, no?

post a hi-res scans of your passport to something like flickr with watermark over it. generate QR code to the URL print it at the credit card size thick paper and put into your wallet. Freaky? Yes, but none will take your passport away like it happened to dude who almost killed some girl he picked up at the club after they had an accident DUI on scooter.

can be that they arrest some gang for human smuggling and some other nasty sh*t, but after a certain adjustment their crimes were changed into almost innocent online casino biz which almost everyone in LOS are using from time to time? here was a guy at Samui lucky enough to switch his crime from that white stuff from poppies into simple possession of weed.

You can't imagine how very correct you are! I've seen school fair with hand-made cards "When I grow up I hope to become ...." from secondary school say 15+ y.o. Noone wants to become an astronaut or science guy. Police officer, military officer, doctor of medicine and an actress. One girl wanted to become a prosecutor like her mother. Cute? I don't think so, Tim!

Here is some misunderstanding about "online casino mafia". dig it: The online casino (as software) runs on the servers somewhere far-far-away from LOS or perhaps to make it fancy - in the "cloud". That installation belongs to Mr.X There is something called "affiliate program" - any Andy or Sombun or even teecha Steev can register (free) and lure suckers / drive Internet traffic to the [mothership] main site that runs and belongs to Mr.X Although, affiliates generally spam social networks like LINE, there are more advanced kids with many websites and tools to bring their websites to the top of [say] Google search, money to buy ads and other SEO tricks. Latter are rather computer geeks and also do not qualify as mafia. Also there're operators who register bank accounts to receive and send payment, but those are really working for peanuts. So who did RTP arrest?

That's a beauty of LINE - all contacts are in SG servers. LINE was not designed with any security within - it was app for gamers to chat between each other. Can or cannot recover access? likely not, unless she send her phone to those kind guys working at Mossad. But that will cost $$$.

PayPal no longer available to foreigners in Thailand
NativeBob replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well that's sad news esp. for those who has recurring payments through PayPal for example web hosting, subscriptions etc. Although PayPal sucks at Ebay payments they still was just fine for small transactions. Dude sold cr*p from Chatuchak for decades through PayPal and was quite happy, now I wonder what he'll use. -
Once 20+ years ago some strange thai dude showed me a paper with something printed on ink-jet printer and asked for my passport. It was in Bangkok, Huay Kwang area. I asked him to wait so I can bring it down from my room, but he insisted to follow me into my room. On the way he kept asking questions about everything. Later it turn to be scammers - they took passports from farang-ding-dong and kept it for "Checking-up" until that poor foreigner paid some ransom.
