  1. I was on Sukhumvit 11 last night. I must have seen at least 40 to 50 taxis refuse various people in a 2 hour span. It is way out of control and needs harsh penalties and enforcement. A complaint line in English would be helpful too.

The complaint line should also provide a follow up service whereby the complainants are updated as to the action taken against the driver.

    An app would be good.

I complained about a driver from Grab taxi once, their follow up with me on the matter was excellent.

  2. you have to be a little bit stupid to go to any area in the world where there are poor people and drug addicts, and walk around with valuable jewellery.

You can get killed in Canada for that too.

One can be taken out by what folk think is in your back pocket by the colour of your skin.....If you fear everything, stay at home...

Or don't be stupid and flaunt expensive jewelry when in poor areas.

Common sense goes a long way to reducing your odds of being a victim.

So I must not have a thick wallet in my back pocket, not drive a hired Merc, not buy two big macs, not be a movie star, in fact, stay in my hotel in case l am hansum..........Total rollox............rolleyes.gif

Honestly I don't give a rats ass what you do. I don't live in fear, but I do use common sense whenever I go out, anywhere in the world.

There are predators out there looking for victims of all kinds. The more common sense you use, the less likely you are to be their choice of a target.

Do you leave your door unlocked at home when you go out because you think locking it will mean you are living in fear?

I really don't know why you find that concept so hard to wrap your brain around.

Maybe you like picking stupid arguments? Is the wife out of town?

  4. Minister vows to find persons responsible for yesterday’s train incident

    1. Providing that I myself am not responsible (if so easy to nominate a scapegoat)
    2. Providing that anyone else with any modicum of power or influence is not responsible (refer to scapegoat as above)
    3. Providing that we can't just drag our heals until everyone forgets about it (in case they still remember, book ticket to Singapore and meet with Redbull heir for drinks and advice on places to stay)
  5. If the senior officers had any morals or brains (and of course they don't), they would have turned down the money to try and set an example that taking money for doing your job is just not acceptable for a cop.

This story was already getting coverage and now they are seen taking the same bribe money as they junior officers that got suspended. How stupid are they?
