  1. It seems the only wild life the Thais want to have in this country are the countless billions or rats that the street vendors keep feeding by dumping the food into the sewer system. Very sad if such a beautiful animal (and very rare I am sure) is destroyed senselessly.

  2. I am not sure how much bite this will have but I agree that people should be held responsible for their actions. This being the case shouldn't this also extend to the Red Shirts and anyone else that causes civil dissobedience that leads to lost revenues? If fair is fair then Takki should be on the hook for inciting civil dissobedience as well.....burn em all !!!!

  3. Yet another law that is half thought through. Exactly how is this going to save lives or improve the health of Thais? The Thai government has a long history of preferring to keep its citizens ignorant and uneducated then tries to impose ridiculous laws to either control them or extort money from them (or the expat business men and tourists).

Most other countries will spend time and money educating their citizens about social issues either starting in school or by using public service messages on TV and Radio (which all stations should be required by law to do so many hours of per month).

Songkran is a perfect example, one week before Songkran they start to suggest that drinking and driving might not be such a good idea instead of instilling this mindset into the population day in and day out year to year.

You cannot change the culture of a people by simply imposing ridiculous laws seasonally !!!

  4. When will they come to my neighbor house? I heard he has bought his nice house and other nice thing with his tea money :D . Or maybe he is not Mr. T friend so he is safe :)

An inappropriate comment. This has nothing to do with the deposed Prime Minister. This is about current and ongoing events of which the former PM has no involvement. Don't twist stories to suit your personal agenda. Much of the corruption that occurs in Thailand is due to it being endemic and a part of the social fabric.

Very nice of you to jump to Mr.T's defence but you must also acknowledge that Takki is probably one of the best examples of this type of corruption in the police force, as he went from being a lowly police officer making 8K baht a month, to one of the richest people in the world.

  5. If I ever decide to become an International criminal, it is good to know that if I change my name I can fool all of the authorities and evade capture. Bottom line is if the Thai Gov. wanted him back here as much as they say they do, he would have been here a long time ago. How many rings does this circus have anyway?
