Ovaltine 3 in 1
Are the above as unhealthy as the coffee 3 in 1 are said to be.? Can't read the ingredients as they're in Thai. Picked them up by mistake and they taste ok anyway.

Banned for telling Muslim child Britain is a Christian country
Not "invented" by Henry VIII he split from Rome and replaced the Pope as head of the English Church, as the Pope found it impractical to grant him an annulment. (A practical not theological decision). There was no "protest" involved, the reformers wished for a return to the simple gospel Christianity of Christ and the Apostles, minus the unscriptural rituals and corruption of Rome. Luther's 95 Theses were meant as the basis for an academic debate, mainly about indulgences being sold for cash. So the history books say anyway.

Banned for telling Muslim child Britain is a Christian country
Strange comment MalcomB, of course he was but he was there before Islam existed.

White Tracksuit Wipeout
First sentence another stupid comment. Second sentence means he's been up all night on google checking his facts.

Central Plaza Nakhon sawan.
Central looks to be doing well enough to me, sadly the same can't be said of the rest of Nakhon Sawan. Too many empty shops about, likely the combination of a trickle-down effect from Central and long term damage from Covid.

White Tracksuit Wipeout

British War Veteran in Critical Condition at Thai Hospital
You are a nasty-mouthed, ignorant individual. I remember this gentleman from years ago, he was a pleasant , helpful and genuine individual. and I would be interested to know of his current progress, health and whereabouts.

I've done plenty like that.

Most boring cities in Thailand
My.own preferred conversations mainly revolve around the main points of the 39 Articles and the Council of Trent so I have not too much to say. But after all these years I still have a circle of friends in Pattaya and fewer years but still friends in the Nakhon. Not really a social drinker or socialising person nowadays but more than happy with what I have. As are you yourself.

Buying ten drinks?
Same here. Never been a go-go, Soi 6 or Walking St regular, plenty ladies on offer in the ordinary bars when I first arrived. Barfine 150 and all night 500, why pay more.? Prices much different now as are the bars, ladies and punters but the principle is more or less the same. There's more in Pattaya than go-gos, soi6 and Walking St.

Most boring cities in Thailand
When people speak disparagingly of tourists and expats do they mean people like themselves and us on here.?

Most boring cities in Thailand
Same here, not been for some time but remember it as a busy little place. The road by the train station had some decent bars and caffs, worth a few nights. Sungai Kolok pretty similar.

Most boring cities in Thailand
Trying to be anyway. I enjoy small Thai towns, always somewhere for a wander around, then food and a drink or two. Resorts, excluding Pattaya, tend to be much of the same formula after you've been to a few.

Opening a UK bank account based on a Thai address
Thanks for the confirmation BC, very interesting and helpful. Decades ago I understood that they needed to post the card and the code separately, that was for people who were here for an extended stay and not permanently. But not having the card would not be a major problem. Thanks again, you have told me something I didn't expect.

Opening a UK bank account based on a Thai address
So they have no problem maintaining your account with a Thai address.? No mention of them closing it.? I used to hear stories of accounts being closed because the holder no longer had a UK address.

French Tourist Flees After Violent Hotel Fight with Australian
In another life I was a compositor and one of our skills was visual letter spacing. To my trained (or pedantic) eye the question mark always appears to be too close to the preceding character so I insert a full point. Sorry about that.
