My GP in Oz is Iranian and pleased Israel and US have killed the current leadership. He is of the opinion regime change will not occur for a number of years. The people are not armed, armed militias control the streets and IRGU are armed, control a great deal of commerce and political power. I find it bizarre senior members of the Trump administration have differing talking points as to why US has attacked Iran in cofunction with Israel. From the outside looking appears to be a great deal of wishful thinking by Trump which is not a good look for the future of Middle East.

IRGC control business in Iran so can't see them giving up power. What's the likelihood of a civil arw?
  3. Fantastic speech, absolute best I have read for many years; an outstanding example of leadership. Strongly recommend everyone to read in full. "After less than a year as prime minister of Canada, Carney offered a blunter assessment of the world on Tuesday: “the strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must.” In a wide-ranging speech that was at times elegiac for the predictable rules-based order, Carney laid out a doctrine for a world of fractured international norms, warning “compliance will not buy safety”. “The old order is not coming back. We should not mourn it,” he said. “Nostalgia is not a strategy.” https://www.afr.com/world/north-america/full-speech-mark-carney-says-middle-powers-must-unite-20260121-p5nvt1
  4. I have a suspicion this claim by the Administration is misinformation
  5. As this stage there is no proof whatsoever the female had any intention to harm the officer. Just repeating MAGA propaganda. There is video evidence of the personally abusive nature of at least one ICE officer at the scene, plus how did the officer who managed to shoot her in the face, then was able to fire two shots from the side of the vehicle if he had been "runover". All the claims from Trump Admin officials are utter nonsense..."a domestic terrorist" LOL - so someone who disagrees with MAGA policy is labelled a "domestic terrorist" It is the Trump Administration increasingly acting in the manner of a terrorist organisation... "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."
  6. As per MAGA world - another dedicated follower...
  7. FBI / Law enforcement agencies are trained to not step in front of a vehicle. I would assume it is unlawful for an armed officer to fire into a vehicle from the side and kill an unarmed civilian. For Trump and Co to immediately call out the victim as a "domestic terrorist", without any proof whatsoever, is unforgiveable and should be liable for defamation. Unfortunately we know the Supreme Count has in effect provided cover for any "official act" whilst in power. Trump is using this act of utter stupidity by the Supreme Count for multiple acts of abuse of power.
  8. Usual drivel and outright lies... President Donald Trump on Wednesday used a nationally-televised address to deliver a campaign-style rant in which he blamed his predecessor for the economic woes Americans are feeling a year into his presidency while offering little in the way of proposals to address the higher prices caused in large part by the massive tariffs he has placed on almost all American imports Trump holds national address to blame Biden for the economy
  9. I don't believe the mass killing was motivated by events in Gaza. The killers evidently subscribed to ISIS ideology e.g. displayed the ISIS flag on their car windscreen. The father was a licenced gun holder in Australia. His son had been interviewed by Australian intelligence and Federal Police and ascertained not to be an extremist threat. Obviously individuals threat assessment process policy must be renewed, plus one would think if a member of family had been assessed for Islamist ideology you would think it would automatically cancel any gun licence by all members of family. Hopefully law will be updated in coming weeks.
  10. Australia's PM has defined the mass killings as a terrorist attack though at this stage it is unknown the Islamic ideology of the killers (was it a protest about Gaza, Islamist etc. Father and son are both Pakistani with father holding gun licence. Son was know to ASIO so why did father still hold a gun licence with six weapons? The member of public who tackled the son who was firing a rifle is a Muslim and survived his gunshot wounds = outstanding bravery!
  11. Trump Admin have now documented the extreme Far Right "Great Replacement Theory" as a component of Foreign Policy / Immigration policy. This is a crystal clear marker on how low the USA has sunk under Trump. The Trump administration is getting its demographic guidance on Europe from the so-called Great Replacement Theory – a term coined by French conspiracy theorist Renaud Camus, in which he argues that a “global elite” is colluding against the white population of Europe to replace them with non-European peoples. Continue reading It has a powerful following among far-right groups, QAnon fanatics and Maga supporters. And now it is the official long-term view of America itself. A view that underpins the US relationship with the West and the Anglosphere from now on. Trump adopts racist conspiracy theories in extraordinary Europe attack
  12. U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he is terminating all documents, including pardons, that he said his predecessor Joe Biden had signed using an autopen, a move that legal experts doubted would hold up in court. The autopen is used to replicate a person's signature with precision, typically for high-volume or ceremonial documents. It has been employed for years by presidents of both major parties to sign letters and proclamations. All rather childish and spiteful. I guess equally Democrats can reverse all Trump's Executive Orders if they gain power. Trump says he's terminating any Biden pardons signed with autopen
  13. But Costco has argued it should receive a 'full refund' of all the duties it has paid as a result of the policy if the Supreme Court justices rule it is not legally sound. 'Because IEEPA does not clearly authorize the president to set tariffs Costco takes on Trump for 'full refund' of billions paid in tariffs
  14. Yep, it's the same nonsense from Trump re Bideen. Each Admin playing their political BS blame game; though Trump is much much more of a blow hard with his hyperbole.
  15. Silence from self proclaime4d MAGA enablers on this forum. Very interested to see Trump's response on Social Media.
  16. Trump represents the Office of the President of the USA one would expect him to be very careful with his comments in the public forums. Undergoing U- Turns on issues practically every day is not a good look for the USA. In fact, IMO, as well as many others, Trump, due to his conduct, is unfit to represent the Office of the President of the USA.
  17. I'm not angry. Are you claiming Trump lacks sincerity, just playing to an audience? Given her resignation MTG doesn't seem to think so
  18. Must be challenging, one minute Trump calling our mayor elect in New York as a major communist / jihadist. Then oops.... welcomed to the Oval Office for a love in - you've got to laugh at the thought of MAGA world contorting themselves to stay on message.
  19. A very misleading topic headline. The following is a brief extract from a news paywall site... his promises to toughen discipline and his plan to send mental health teams, rather than officers, to certain emergencies.
  20. Is Trump supporting the Kurds with their ongoing fight against ISIS and detention of captured ISIS followers? https://themedialine.org/top-stories/has-president-trump-put-the-kurds-at-risk-by-backing-al-sharaa-and-hts-against-islamic-state/
  21. Guy charged doesn't sound like a Muslim ""Anthony Williams, 32, from Peterborough was charged on Monday with 10 counts of attempted murder, If he had converted to Islam highly likely he would have changed his name.nor has the incident been identified as an Islamist attack. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8r007d4kk2o
  22. With the current make up of the Security Council exactly what do you know the UN can achieve? To my understanding only the African Union is a viable political group for a solution, but I guess they are so crippled by corruption nothing is going to happen in the short term
  23. Not at all, just saying Nazi Party in the US is not banned. If the guy hasn't moved on from his, obviously unsuitable for political leadership. Just as many of Trump appointees as well as candidates with weird pasts and withdrew are unsuitable. As is Trump who has been proven to be unfit to represent the office of the presidency. Of course the corrupt Supreme Court has waived any decision made by trump whilst in power cannot be prosecuted. Naturally trump and family are happy as a pig in a pigsty quite revolting
  24. Given the Nazi Party is not banned in the USA doesn't matter what I say. However, plenty of far right people in the US who the current Admin seem loath to prosecute only those damn lefties seemingly without evidence. The guy has claimed other members of his military unit were well aware of his tattoo and I personally use to know a few Oz military who I view as white supremist, so I guess not unusual in Western military.
  25. Complete and utter BS from MAGA world. Can you go any lower scraping the bottom of the barrel; no doubt Trump and enablers will do do so.
