  1. What do "many" in the US think off trump's just announced demands for Ukraine minerals (in effect retrospective billing for prior arms supply); with a US majority Board on the proposed venture. In reality another extortion threat by the "Land of the Free" - LOL The Ukrainian leader told reporters that Kyiv's lawyers needed to review the draft before he could say more about the U.S. offer, a summary of which suggested the U.S. was demanding all Ukraine's natural resources income for years. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/putin-suggests-temporary-administration-ukraine-end-war-2025-03-28/
  2. A major component of Five Eyes is Pine Gap in Australia; no it's not over. Allies will compensate for the idiocy of some members of the trump Administration.
  3. Moore like fascist in the Mussolini mode
  4. Until the guy is charged with terrorism motivated by socialist extremism your topic headline is "fake news" as it's only your opinion at this stage.
  5. So far I can understand police charges do not include terrorism in support of "Socialism", is that just your fake news?
  6. I suggest you are unaware major news outlets have ethical standards established by senior management and monitored by the likes of a Senior Vice President of News and Standards for compliance e.g. CNN. All you're doing is regurgitating MAGA political propaganda which is utilised in an endeavour to censor / belittle / denigrate any one disagreeing with Trump Administration.
  7. What? Not even 50% in favour!!!
  8. Americans appear to have an all encompassing understanding of the 'left" in US society, eg. Marxist, Socialist etc very much out of synch with other Western democracies. You may like to supply the US definition of the "left" I'm fairly sure most other Westerners would disagree. To protest against the destruction and killings of civilians in Gaza and West Bank is neither anti Semitic or expressing support for Hamas, Islamic Jihad and so on.
  9. The most recognised "whiner" across all topics in USA today is trump, combine with lies, misinformation and disinformation from him and members of Cabinet - a bunch of losers.
  10. A nonsensical post - current Admin actions would dictate upgrade to IT infrastructure. However, you're only flaming, whatever helps you past the time...
  11. What's being done? To automate Service sizing for web traffic is straight forward; why wasn't it done prior to the layoffs -duh.....
  12. You may sneer, but it would be very distressing for those reliant on government welfare as well as for front line staff. Sadly the outcomes of the layoffs is entirely predictable. Pro active additional investment in web infrastructure could easily reduce some of the pain. Goes to show the complete indifference of the self serving trump elite and some members of this forum.
  13. <snipped for brevity>Replace UK with US, equally applies under trump MAGA is a lost cause - ain't going to happen with trump in power. At least UK retains a degree of decency and democratic principles,, not so with trump.
  14. Ever noticed the attempts of falsely alleging home truths by MAGA against their opposition actually factually align to themselves?
  15. By using this forum you agree to the rules. Also one has no knowledge of a member's experience of another country culture
  16. 1): Domestic law or executive order - both of which are in breach to UN Convention ratified by USA. 2) Untrue, US has a quota system in place i.e. restricted entry for assessed refugees. 3) To close border for asylum seekers is in breach of international convention 4) During President Joe Biden’s term, Border Patrol arrested an unprecedented number of immigrants who crossed illegally into the United States. Many believe Biden caused this increase in migration by reducing border enforcement. However, data obtained by the Cato Institute through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) challenges this narrative. In fact, the border crisis began before Biden took office and ended before he left. https://www.cato.org/blog/biden-didnt-cause-border-crisis-part-1-summary No more, tired of repeating myself to no avail.
  17. try answering my question. Re Obama... "Why were returns and removals higher under Obama? The short answer is because there was a lot more illegal immigration under Obama and also because interior enforcement was very strong in Obama's first term," she said. "The peak of interior enforcement was the last year of Bush and the first year of Obama. And then under Obama, he's making a decision, and you can track this through certain policies that were issued, to reduce interior enforcement." However, Vaughan also cautioned against reading too much into the DHS returns and removal numbers without understanding the context. She said that in 2012, the Obama administration started counting removals by Border Patrol the same as interior removals by ICE, further blurring the lines on what is considered a deportation. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/deporter-in-chief-obama-surpassed-deportations-under-trumps-first-term
  18. You need to look up forum rules before posting again. One's citizenship is irrelevant to respond to topics.
  19. Asylum seekers have to be assessed to be recognised as refugees for entry to the US. Where are they being processed and how many permitted entry to the US out of the millions around the world? It is nonsense to claim qualified refugees are permitted to enter the US; the US has an annual quote allocated for refugees entry. When trump was last in power he dramatically reduced the allocation. Current allocation: in 2017, President Obama set a ceiling of 110,000, but President Trump reduced it to 50,000 through an executive order after taking office. https://usafacts.org/answers/how-many-refugees-come-to-the-us/country/united-states/ It is incorrect to claim no legislation required to block asylum seekers entering the US as they are permitted by the UN refugee Convention to which the US is a signatory, unless the US has already passed relevant domestic legislation.
  20. Please identify the legally recognised "safe countries". I have a suspicion you have no idea what a "safe country" is as defined by UN Convention for Refugees. Concerning asylum seekers you would have no idea as the US is refusing to process them / return to Mexico etc etc etc.As a bit more info re Criminal Aliens the following stats from US govt provide a reality check: https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/cbp-enforcement-statistics/criminal-noncitizen-statistics#:~:text=Arrests of Individuals with Criminal, apprehensions by U.S. Border Patrol.
  21. Incorrect Legislation would be required to block asylum seekers. Such action would be in breach of current international law, but we know trump acts unilaterally. As a signatory to the 1967 Protocol, and through U.S. immigration law, the United States has legal obligations to provide protection to those who qualify as refugees. The Refugee Act established two paths to obtain refugee status—either from abroad as a resettled refugee or in the United States as an asylum seeker. https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/asylum-united-states
  22. That truth AGAIN, demonstrating how Trump is, not acting for the good of the USA, but self serving political agenda.
  23. You mean trump cancelling signing of bipartisan agreement to reduce illegals flow as he didn't wish to for Biden to have any success with migrants before the 2024 election - sure did speak volumes about trump
  24. Forum rules - you make a claim provide credible sourced link/s for proof.
