One assumes you do understand that human rights, social services for the less well off and so on, at least from a European POV were legislated by the "left". Is this not the case in the US?. At this particular point in time the current US Administration is disliked by a number of democratic countries due to it's drift to authoritarianism and political bullying, one could say "cruelty". Apologies for my mistake. IMO Ukraine had no option but to resist the Russian invasion otherwise Russia would have occupied Kyiv and forced the surrender of Ukraine. Suggest it better to condemn Putin for all the cruelty, death and destruction. On the other side of the coin to condemn trump for his greed and attempted extortion - vile man that he is!

Off topic, but deserving clarification: You're misinterpreting. What the other poster said was USA joined in with Russia to defeat the Nazis in WW11 which is not correct. US only declared war on Germany after Hitler had declared war on the US. Thankfully the Russians, with US material help, did the most of the hard fighting in Europe to defeat the Nazis.

I suggest no=one on this forum knows if Putin is winning / losing the war in Ukraine. However it is indicative of what's going on when Putin agrees to peace talks as his initial objective was to take over all Ukraine / or get to surrender with the fall of Kyiv.
