I wonder what skullduggery he has cooked up with Prawit & Anutin .....!!!
Yep. Pre-arranged political soap opera.

More apocalyptic predictions and crisis management.. The usual naysayers garnering the headlines and budgets. *Yawn*

Great. Try and mollify a pi$$ed off populace with another frivolous 'holiday' at the expense of tax-paying businesses.

Indeed. Also to note that "soothsaying" is a legit career option.

Outgoing Thai PM hopes for a peaceful transition of power
No he doesn't. Unrest and disruption invites him and his tanks back in again.

Burger King seem pretty determined to kill a lot of people here. First, they introduced a burger comprised purely of (lots of) plastic cheese, and now this gut-buster. ???? Not surprised diabetes and heart disease is off the charts everywhere.

Hate is such an over-used verb, but things that annoy / alarm me;
Mad drivers (with guns)
April-May heat and humidity (although I normally leave for cooler climes during Thai Summer).
Stinky food.
Lack of specialized tradesmen; plumbers, electricians, etc.
Income disparity.

Living 5 minutes away from a lovely beach with body-temperature sea.
Cheap domestic flights to anywhere in Thailand (or SE Asia).
Affordable tuition for my son (music, Taekwondo, other sports).
Loads of great restaurants and food outlets.
Tons of eye-candy everywhere. ????

Nah. It's this platform of change and booting out the dinosaurs that struck such a massive chord with the population and electorate. He has to stick to his guns now, and good luck to him. He's going to need it.

Isn't Rayong,or Rain-on as someone once said, known as the wettest place in Thailand .
I am in Lopburi province, so far this month we have had 21 mm of rain, now corn crops are dying due to lack of rain, and some rice crops are looking a bit dry, but most are not even planted yet, no rain, things running well late this year.
Not sure, tbh. Rayong's 'monsoon season' normally starts late, around September-October. Its a coastal province also, with mountains and a run-off into the sea, so flooding is not (normally) an issue here.

I guess it's
because they're popular and sell out quickly. Retail shops here don't appear to have cottoned on to the concept of doubling up orders for their bigger sellers.... they just seem to order the same amount of everything and wait for all the products in a range to get low on stock before reordering.
Maybe shelf-life is an issue?

Started raining heavily here (Rayong) around 9pm last night, and hasn't stopped since.
Looks like I can escape gardening duties this weekend.

Those supporting the Move Forward party should do a fair bit of research about how and who they are backed and created. They are puppets for the US.
Interesting. Do you have a link?

The last thing Prayut and his cronies want is "calm".
When they have protests and disruption, it's their chance to roll the tanks out again. A bunch of <deleted> dinosaurs that should have fallen into their appointed tar-pits decades ago.

Twix has been on the missing list for ages. Found some Bounty bars the other day though.
There is an "expat" shop near to us that sells a full caboodle of (UK) choccy delights; Penguin, Club biscuits, Fry's, Bournville, etc. Difficult to resist..

Supply always a bit hit n miss with imported chocolate. Quite partial (I say I'm buying for the kid) to the occasional "Twix" snack bars myself.

I agree. Can't find cottage cheese anywhere. I should buy some raw milk locally and make my own 'curdle and whey.'
There is a local Thai brand, "Yolida" that makes cottage cheese "Alli" range. The Mom & Pop shop near to us (Banchang) sells it as well as their main product, pro-biotic natural yoghurt (450gms for 65 Baht).
The normal milk supply here doesn't seem affected, so far. Maybe Pattaya is just feeling it first due to the large expat consumption.

When you need an Orwellian / Monty Python titled "Ministry of Culture" headed by the scion of a mafiosi family, then you probably don't have any..

Quite true I think. Its not just Thailand though, institutions have been captured worldwide
Yep, just think about unelected unaccountable globalist bodies, like Bilderberg Group, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, WEF; UN; WHO; etc, etc.....

If you do a bit of research, this guy is just an American/Big State puppet.
Im not saying change isn’t needed, but I would rather the devil we know that keeps Thailand Thai than a puppet that works to erode Thai culture to replace it with western ‘values’.
You may be correct, but he won with an overwhelming election result. From a population utterly sick of inept and utterly corrupt military "government" rule over the last nine years. If Thais don't like him, they will vote him out again.
In the meantime, the Thai population should maybe start mass protests and industrial strikes until he is appointed PM.

Pitbull Attack in Chonburi Ends Tragically
in Pattaya News

A lot of Pitbull owners (not all) fit a certain demographic. These people would never normally bother owning or looking after a dog, unless it lent them a certain image by proxy.
I've seen Thai breeders of these mutts advertising on FB using violent imagery of them as a sales pitch. QED
