You would be surprised how many Thai girls are crazy about KSR's and are actually riding them. So, this will not be any different.
  2. It doesnt really matter, because my wifes uncle will buy it full whack and I will have to pay him month by month, however he wants to know how much is financing so he can calculate how much I will need to pay.

If your wife's uncle pays it in full, then why do you need to know the intrest rate? You should work it out between yourselves how and how much you will pay back. Nothing to do with Honda anymore.

  3. I agree about the BKK-Hua Hin route. Done it on my PCX twice previously....................bloody awful roads and nothing nice to look at.

Which road do you take? Do you go through Nakon Pathom and Ratchaburi or do you go down through Samut Songkram and Samut Sakhon?

  4. Going to Chiang Mai this weekend to buy one. Still not sure about the color. Like black but way too hot for that in Thailand, also like red one which I think I will go for. never was a fan of white color but dam_n that red blue white looks good. Too bad the dirt will stick to it.

My bike used to be black, never had a problem concerning the heat when I left it in the sun. I live in BKK.

  5. The one time I paid at the police station in Thong Lo, they radioed the guy back to the police station to bring me my license (it was actually my national ID card, just looks like a Thai license and he accepted it. I didn't have to go back to the checkpoint.

All the other times I get stopped I speak perfect English and go in discussion about my violation, every time it is about riding on the right and I still haven't gotten a decent reply as to why you can't ride there, apart from "Thai law". Then they are pretty quick to give you back your license (yes, now I have a real one) and tell you to get on your way.

  6. look at some of the thailand for sale sites,it'll give ya A good idea. There are some places in thailand i just won't ride.If it's heavily populated likeBangkok forget it. forget it.Chiangmai can be A challenge.

Chiang Mai is a challenge? That place is a breeze, I ride in Bangkok every day.

Down hill I hit 170. It was almost to red line and in a full tuck riding position. Kai rai going over japiow river.

How steep was that hill? I think you should have your speedometer checked, as it is showing strange speeds.

Lol if you have ever ridden on that bridge you would understand

If only one knew where kai rai or japiow river are.

  8. Did KTM have a presence at the expo?

I have noticed they are doing more with some smaller bikes

& wondered if things like the 125,200 & 390 Dukes would be available

KTM was not there, but will be at the motorbike festival in Central World.

Their small Dukes are too expensive anyway. 200,000 baht for the 200.
