Thai issued IDP accepted in Japan for British national?
Smokin Joe replied to neek's topic in General Topics
Thailand is a party to both the 1949 Treaty and the 1968 treaty and can issue both IDP's. Just get a 1949 IDP in Thailand. UK is the same. Party to both treaties and can issue both IDP's. They can even issue the 1926 IDP if needed. The gov.uk website you posted a link to is rubbish. It doesn't list both IDP's for countries that ratified both treaties. Pretty poor for an official govt website. -

Are you serious? You think issuing fraudulent passports would be showing compassion? What happens when a woke passport is used to try and enter a non-woke country and the person gets arrested and spends a few weeks in jail trying to get things sorted out. How about this idea. Issue passports that say "male" to males and passports that say "female" to females. regardless of how they choose to dress.

True in the case of the OP because he has an Australian license. An IDP based on the 1968 Vienna Treaty is valid up to three years. However, the UK is the only English speaking country that is a party to that treaty. Any country that only joined the 1949 Geneva Treaty issues the IDP's that are only valid for one year.

AAA does not offer online IDP's. You can get one via mail though. Having a website doesn't mean they do online applications. AAA is the only authorized agent fore IDP's for the US. They have a charter from the State Department to issue them on behalf of the US government. I assumed that FastIDP was a scam but it looks like they are legit. They apparently get you to provide all the required docs, photos etc and then take it to an AAA office or mail it in. Costs a lot more than just mailing it in yourself but

Another Sob Sister Story from the Leftards
Smokin Joe replied to annotator's topic in Political Soapbox
Not cruel and unusual at all if they don't try to escape. And if they did manage to escape it would not be considered cruel and unusual to shoot them in the back with a high powered rifle. -
"if the Iranians can have the enrichment plants up and running in a fairly short time then what does he do? Bomb again?" Yes, that is exactly what he would do. If the enrichment equipment is salvageable it is buried under a few hundred feet of concrete. It will take a lot of heavy equipment a lot of time to get down to it. Easy to monitor the progress and just as easy to put a stop to salvage efforts. And that is assuming it can be salvaged at all.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
Smokin Joe replied to Rimmer's topic in Entertainment
That is strange. I ignored what RARBG listed as seeds and actually started it in uTorrent on my computer and it showed 29 there. But happy you got it. -

You might try RARBG. They have it with 29 seeds. I just checked a couple of minutes ago. All three as one download. The Secret Agent (Tv Mini Series 2016) 720p -

A few years ago I donated a bunch of stuff to Father Ray's. A man who lived in the same condo as I dealt with them regularly and told me they will take anything that has any value. It doesn't need to be items that they need. They take the donated items to an auction site and then make some cash to buy stuff they actually need.

Report Duty-Free Drama: King Power Wants Out of AOT Airport Deals
Smokin Joe replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Duty free does not mean profit free. It is not a scam in that sense, but they can mark their prices up so high that it is cheaper to go to a retail store. -
Sure. Tactical nukes can be bombs. But you were talking about a very specific bomb that IS NOT nuclear. The GBU-57 MOP has a 6,000 lb conventional warhead. Total weight is approx 30,000 lbs but the weight is mostly the hardened case to allow deep penetration. The only casualties if we dropped a few of these would be people that were actually at the facility.
-
Yes I do. Do you get your knowledge about ordnance from video games?
-
They can't drop something that doesn't exist.
-
First off, the OP is an idiot that knows nothing about ordnance. The Bomb only has 6,000 pounds of explosives which is not a huge amount. The important thing about the GBU-57 MOB is not the explosives, it it the ability to penetrate 60 meters into the ground before detonating. That is why they call it a "Bunker Buster". I was in Iraq disposing of about 40-50 thousands pounds of explosives (NEW, not gross weight) every day for a couple of months. We had shallow pits we used for the shots and they only made a crater a couple of meters deep at most. Those shots would have had no effect on a deep military facility. There wouldn't be any body parts flying around from a detonation deep underground. The only casualties would be the ones that are knowingly sitting on a bullseye. There would be ZERO civilian casualties.
