  1. Yes I do. But I am looking at it as the cost of the meds being a separate issue from the cost of tests and diagnosis. Seeing a specialist, getting urine, or blood, tests and getting a diagnosis is not very expensive in my opinion at BPH.
  2. I had a UTI in Nov 2022. I woke up about 4 or 5 AM to pee and it was bloody at the end, like very bloody. I was definitely going to the hospital but waited until normal business hours. In the time up until I went I had an increasing urge to pee more often and although there was no pain at first it started to get more and more uncomfortable each time. I went to Bangkok Pattaya because I assumed I only had a few more days to live and cost was not an issue. I've posted a copy of my bill to show that BPH is not always quite as expensive as everyone assumes. The Doctors fee and Urine exam was about 1000 Baht. I also got a free digital prostate check. The Doc had me take some antibiotics by IV and that was the majority of the costs for the final bill. No more bloody pee within two hours so I was happy. If he had prescribed oral meds I assume I could have asked him just to write down the med/dosage/how long and bought them at Fascino for a savings over Hospital prices.
  3. Most times a DL is shown it is usually NOT to a police officer. It is shown much more often at a bar, at a liquor store, to buy tobacco, to rent a car, check into a hotel, to check in at an airport etc.
  4. Yeah, for some reason I thought he was talking about when entering Thailand. The TM6 had a spot for Visa number and re-entry permit number was entered if you had one. I shouldn't make any posts until I'm fully awake.
  5. Nam's does not do trips top DMK. Not sure why but it's posted on their website.
  6. Newbee probably thinks Israel and Russia are EU members since he thinks the "E" in EAW stands for International.
  7. Wikipedia has updated the Bi-2 page with new info. I think this is the most detailed citizenship info that has been posted. I doubt that Thailand would be stupid enough to deport people with Israeli and Australian citizenship to Russia, regardless of dual nationality or not. I wonder what passports were used for entering Thailand. If they entered on Russian Passports it would make sense to deport them to Russia in normal circumstances. But this is not normal circumstances. "In January 2024, members of the group have been arrested in Thailand for allegedly violating immigration regulations and may be deported to Russia, since five of its members have Russian citizenship. As those members also have citizenship of other countries (Israeli and Australian), the issue became a diplomatic concern for several countries, also fueled by arguments that Russian request is related to silencing political dissidents"
  8. The OP doesn't say that any of the band members are Russian. It just says that two are Israeli and that allegedly two more are Israeli as well. Wikipedia says that the band is Belarusian.
  9. When I came back after the Covid lock down in 2021 it was required for my 5 yr license renewal.
  10. Congrats on the news about Annies. One of my Favorite places back in the 1900's. I was skeptical at first and assumed maybe a case of the same name but no relation. But I was pleasantly surprised that it was apparently re-opened by the same management. Their website has the whole story. https://www.anniesbangkok.com/
  11. Hopefully you do. You set yourself up for so well for my previous post though that I just couldn't resist.
  12. I imagine your neighbors wish they could say the same.
  13. I think you probably mean the ones by Benjawan Becker. And yes they are very good.
  14. You can apply by mail: Police Clearance Service Center https://pcscenter.sbpolice.go.th/en
  15. If you didn't notice a noticeable improvement, and if you are just as comfortable sleeping with or without it, you may not really need it. Did you have a legitimate sleep study done? I was referred for a sleep study by my cardiologist and when I was all hooked up and fell asleep they stopped the test after 20 minutes. I stopped breathing 21 times in 20 minutes, once for 30 seconds. That was all they needed for a diagnosis of Severe Sleep Apnea. My Cardiologist believes the sleep apnea was the cause of developing an irregular heartbeat (AFIB). I easily got used to using the machine and would not feel right trying to sleep without it.
  16. The US Embassy charges $50 per notarized signature https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/notaries-public/
  17. The OP might considering taking a taxi, bolt, or a car from Nam or Meow for the round trip. I hired Meow to take me to Sriracha Immigration office and return. She waited while I did my business and then delivered me back home. An expensive option but probably cheaper than using an agent.
  18. You could get a certificate of residence from the US Embassy if you want to do it the most expensive and least convenient way. Getting it from immigration is much easier. The medical cert is not the "5 diseases" thing. It is just a proof of life from a clinic. If you can see the clinic, walk into the clinic, and state that you need a med cert for a DL then you passed.
  19. +1 for Lopuri3's comment. You really need to provide more information to get helpful responses. Are you the Next of Kin (NOK)? If you are not Next of Kin do you have Power of Attorney to act for NOK? Doe he have a Thai family. Wife? Kids? A wife would probably be NOK and be responsible for all decisions. Is he a veteran? VFW has people that deal with this a lot and have lots of knowledge and experience. Does his body really need to be repatriated? I would recommend a Buddhist cremation and ceremony in Thailand and then send the ashes back to the US for a second funeral or memorial service. If his body is in a hospital morgue they will only release the body when they receive instructions from the US Embassy or Consulate. The Embassy will need to work with the NOK (or their representative).
  20. I'm surprised that foot fetish didn't take the top spot considering how many men lost their virginity to a sock.
  21. I disagree. My US credit cards would not work if stolen from the mail. They require activation by me before they will work. In over 20 years of receiving mail in Thailand I have never had anything go missing. Can't say the same for the US where I have had mail lost twice, one of these was a priority mail envelope (with tracking).
  22. Yes, everything. Social Security, Medicare, Military Pension, Credit Union. In Florida you can get a drivers's license and register a vehicle and they will let you use an out of state CMRA as a mailing address. I own a townhouse in Florida. I needed that to get the license and vehicle registration but any renewal notices are mailed to my Las Vegas mailing address.
