Just before the border crossing on the left hand side. Secure parking. 100bt per night, I think.
Not so sure about secure parking, but there is a large car park on the left side just as you enter the Freedom Bridge. Last time we went over to Vientiane we left our rental bike there, never had a problem.
Well it's secure as in a private company is running it as a business. Fenced off. No marines or armed guards

19k for window tint = you got stooged.
For me, 2012 Ford Ranger 2.2 manual, I get 820km range from the 80lt tank.
Where are you driving? Could the auto actually be more efficient than the manual?
I have the Ranger 2.2 XLT/AT and just passed the 15,000km service. The automatic fuel economy calculator is a tad disappointing at 9.2l/100km since it includes several longer distance thrashes between Udon and Bangkok/Pattaya and back but there is a lot of tootling around in Muang Udon's abysmal traffic. I have just reset the calculator so I will see how she fares over the next 15,000km.... and keep a manual record as well!

I usually get about 8.9lt/100km around Chiang Mai. That's a mixture of rural roads & superhighway, not much city centre, but lots of slowing & accelerating. On a longer run to Mae Sai from Chiang Mai, over the hills, but keeping a decent speed, I think I got 7.7lt/100km. Same truck as NanLaew. I do tend to be a bit heavy footed.

Surely, the greater the fight back by the person being robbed, the greater the chance of having a fatal stab wound?

There may be large areas of forest in Thailand for the tigers to live in. Unfortunately if man lives close by, there'll be nothing left for the tiger to eat.

The answer was Strawberry Fields forever,

Also, take a look in the cycling subforum on TV. Quite a few CM riders post there.

No music this afternoon in the Ironbridge branch. Will have to take my walkman next time
And the dollies on the tills were nothing to write home about. Not that it bothers me.

...and 3 additional outlets are very welcome.
I disagree. 4 is plenty for a small city like this. Why not just knock down all the 700 year old temples and make room to build more condos, convenience stores and the like?
Shops are the "new temples"

A good supermarket, but their feedback system seems to not work. Encouraging it, i have twice asked them to consider putting country of origin information on imported produce, but without any reply or action.
MIght not seem like a big deal to some, but with the huge amount of GM foods and ingredients in the US many people want to avoid buying produce from that country. They have a feedback system in place, but don't seem to respond to it. Pity. But that said, kudos to their business ethic in general.
I would like to see the ingredients in English. But then again I am in Thailand. I am quite sure if I was to take the misses to visit in North America they would be in English not Thai.
What gets me is when they have a product with English on it and there is some thing in Thai pasted over it.
That bugs me. Why not put the sticker elsewhere.....

Rain
in Chiang Mai
About an hour of rain south of SK, not too heavy, but most welcome

I'm happy with TOT. I live out in the sticks & get 3MBs. The engineer came out to the house to test the line. He measured 4 MBs. He recommended not to try a faster package, as our line / location couldn't handle it, allowing the extra 1MBs to ensure a better connection.

Canned curries , what wrong with fresh food ?
Sometimes, on occasion, folk might just want a quick meal & not have time to cook their normal "cooked from fresh ingredients" dinner or lunch?

Post number 2 told the OP where to go. Maybe the OP can report back which particular farm was the best.

it was a noisy war zone here for 24 hours.
24 hours? I live out in the sticks, it's all over by 9 pm, starting only after sunset. I imagine it goes on later in the city, but really, 24 hours?

5 years ago it was bubble... now it's still bubble
One thing always certain, bubbles ALWAYS burst.

Rain
in Chiang Mai
does this thread have to get a mention every time it rains.
I forgot, what was the name of this topic? Oh yeah, Rain.
Just think, only a few months to go and I will be starting a new 2013 Smog, Smoke and Dust topic. Maybe that will make you happy.
Rice harvest finished, burning begun. but we've had a small shower

Individual portion pork pies would be nice, same as you get in supermarkets in UK

Rain
in Chiang Mai
Apropos of nothing much, I've always believed that the Mae-Jo/Chiang-Mai/Hang-Dong side of the plain is wetter, than Mae-Jo/Doi-Saket/Sankamphaeng, would other local TV-members concur ?
I live south of SK, definitely seems like a rain shadow most times
I keep an eye on the radar site daily.
