Snake Bite Procedures - Maharaj is listed
Also a paper in the Chiang Mai Medical Journal is based on snake bite cases reported at the Chiang Mai University hospital.
If Pang-Soong lodge is advising travel to Maharaj, then it doesn't sound as if local, rural hospitals are worth bothering with. Don't waste your time, get straight to Maharaj.....
Is there VIP parking for venomous snake bite victims?

How much is Makro selling Beer Lao for? (B. 32-36 retail in S. Laos)
I think it was 899 baht for a case of the light. More for the dark.

Seems this topic points to Maharaj also - Banded Krait CM

Anyone know how many DEATHS occur in Thailand every year due to snake bites?
And how many deaths could have been avoided if anti venom was available? There hasn't been a decent answer yet to Semper's question. Which hospitals, if any, keep anti venom for pit vipers, kraits, or cobras?

Nope. The blue book states the correct amount of passengers, 2. The insurance states 4.
In which case they won't pay.
strange reply from someone who drives around with virtually no insurance, ready to do a runner if he's involved in an accident.
why wont they pay? do you have inside knowledge of how many passengers I carry?
-
Just take into account that if you're talking about a 2 door truck insurance will be limited to 2 passengers and driver.
My comprehensive insurance covers 1 driver, 4 passengers. Strada Megacab.
Have you had the car reregistered to 5 seats (so white/black plates)?

" . . drooling, headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, abdominal muscle cramps and loss of coordination . . "
Better steer clear of the veggies then as I get all of the above from Beer Chang alone!
Beer taunts the mind & soul, body health, divorce, crime, mental hospitals, or prisons, must faster then veggies, just drink water or www.aathailand.org
I guess you wouldn't spot a bit of humour if it slapped you in the face with a wet halibut......

The funny thing is, coming from Preston ,Thailand will be like an environment of open enquiry and academic excellence.
I resemble that remark!!

BANGKOK: -- Vegetables with a dangerously high level of pesticide have been sold in supermarkets and luxury department stores, the Foundation for Consumers said yesterday.
What a great deal: dangerously high level of pesticides in vegtables sold at high prices in high end stores....must be Thailand.
They're paying the extra cost of the poison.
All the fuss is about the high end stores. No mention of what the poorer members of society get to buy.

I ate a fly once. It died in my coke. It is unfortunate that dead flies and coca-cola are the same color.
Maybe the farmers could be encouraged to spray coke on their crops, rather than the pesticides they currently use

I have never heard of The University of Central Lancashire and I was brought up in Lancashire.

I believe UCLan was once called Preston Polytechnic

Hmm.. doesn't anyone wash their veggies when they get home and before preparation?
Seems like a safe thing to do.
I wonder where the veggies came from?
Systematic pesticides are applied to the soil, & absorbed through the roots into the plant & then the fruit or veg. Supposedly, if guidelines are followed, the fruit is safe.

produced by Doctor Company were tainted with Carbofuran at a level of 0.007mg per kg. The EU prescribes a safe level of Carbofuran as not exceeding 0.02mg
Isn't 0.007 less than 0.02?
That was referring to yard long beans. From my experience growing veggies here, yard long beans are one of the easiest to grow, & never seem to be bothered by pests on my pesticide free garden.

On monday, MAKRO superhighway was well stocked with Beer Lao, light & dark.

Watch the cancer rates grow with industrial farming.
I'm more worried about the current mis-use / overuse of pesticides & herbicides by the current peasant farmers

if the aircon doesn't blow cold air on shortly after start up, thee must be something wrong.
I think it was just time of the month for the OP, the air-con works just fine and is nice and cold after a few secs of the engine being on regardless of the outside temperature.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using Thaivisa Connect App
I was suggesting there was something wrong with his, not every Ranger. Taking 10 minutes to blow cold air as opposed to cooling the whole cab, suggests there is something not quite right. Your's sounds fine. Webbangkok's doesn't.

Ah... well brought up MESmith .... as in vomited!
Nah we've already contracted The Pheasant Plucker Sisters to provide a roaming show all over your face .. oops .. I mean the place.
However knowing you are a Crass fan I'm sure you'd like to keep your hand in and follow the punk rockers slogan of "Do it Yourself"
Smiled knowingly
Actually, truth be known, I'm not a fan of Crass, but prefer the more soothing melodies & harmonies of my namesake & his merry men, The Fall.
On a serious note, being a family man, living the rural life on my wife's smaller plot of land, commune life is not for me. But I wish you every success in your venture.
-
Will music by Crass be broadcast around the commune?
If so, sign me up

How about anyone who uses any of these extended cab type pickups. What are your experiences? Have you been able to fit seatbelts or make the "bench" seat any more comfortable?
Had "back seats" fitted in my Strada megacab. Done by a Carryboy fitter in Chiang Mai. Even used cloth upholstery to match the front seats

Don't forget to buy First Class insurance, do not just use 3rd class
You can't buy 1st class insurance on cars over 7 years??? old. I'm sure if I am wrong someone will correct me.
Does this only apply to new coverage. My 2001 truck insurance is comprehensive. Been with the same insurers since new. Just checked the policy and all the coverage looks sound.
