  1. Coming from Nong Hoi intersection (going south towards Lamphun) past 89 Plaza but before turn off for Vieng Khum Kham ( I think not positive). It's on the left hand side. Can't for the life of me remember the name but it has "air" on the end of the name and normally quite a few minibuses parked outside.

I think it might be called Chai Chana Air but not positive.

There probably a leak in the pipes of AC system somewhere. Maybe change condenser etc etc

They are not far from the turn off to the Police Station. As you head further south along old Lamphun road there is a soi to the left & an open plot of land opposite to the right. The shop is on the south corner of the soi.

  2. A few Tuk Tuks. sad.png

Have they finished digging that subway yet? Folk out in San Kamphaeng, Mae Rim & Hang Dong are waiting.........

Think not. In the meantime, use your local Thai watering holes. smile.png

Prefer to stay home, meself. Too many sanctimonious saints hanging around CM nowadays wink.png

  3. I was coming up Thae Pae road once in broad daylight, and a bloke in the pickup in front of us was so obviously pissed out of his tree that he was crossing over all three lanes and forcing people to brake. Not one of them made any attempt to stop him, and I was really hoping that he would drive straight into the moat, but incredibly, when he hit the moat road, he virtually stopped, and everyone just drove around him.

Thai people don't seem to care about it, so it's understandable that others will take the same attitude.

Personally I simply do not drive or even ride in Thailand, so I get as pissed as I want without any worries.

And it's not as if there isn't a mass of cheap, public transport in Thailand is it? For an expat, it's inexcusable, and anyone who gets done deserves ridicule heaped upon them for their stupidity.

Not having any experience in the matter How much public transportation is there after midnight?

  4. Anyone discovered how accurate the "km until empty" readout is? I was down to 6km before refueling today.

The computer is probably trying to estimate the "km until empty" based on either your average km/ltr or your current km/ltr, so it's probably different for each person and probably different each time.

The accuracy is probably based on how consistent you are on the gas pedal.

    That's my guesstimation.

An empty tank is an empty tank regardless of your km/lt. Best just to tell you how many litres left. I do find it annoying that it chimes at 80km to go & every 10km after that. The warning light is sufficient. Another gripe is the volume control for the audio. Too small & it only takes a tiny movement to result in a big difference in volume, especially at the lower levels when the family is on board. On my own, no problem, I play it LOUD!!!

...nag,nag,nag...fill her up and enjoy the ride...crank the music up!!...if the family complains(that's why I like the pick-ups)...there is always room in the back w00t.gif

nag, nag ,nag....... one of my favourite tracks of all time. Sheffield's finest. Haven't played it for the family. The Clash & The Undertones, are our favs...

  6. Huge thunderstorm here in Saraphi from 17.00 pm, followed by very hard rain. The downpour seems stopped now.

Came through San Kamphaeng. Nice biggrin.png

After a month with the 6AT XLT i average about 11.6 km /litre. Which is worse than my 11 yr old Mitsu Strada 4WD manual transmission was getting for the same driving conditions & style. The Strada has a bigger engine 2.8, plus runs at higher rpm than the Ranger.

I have found km until empty doesn't count the last 10 liters in the tank. When I hit 0 and fill up it is always 67-69 liters to full not 80 liters.

I wish I could afford to fill her up sad.png

At the risk of appearing to nag, sell the other pickup and use the proceeds to fill up this one.

What would wifey drive? She's not ready (not experienced enough driver) for the Beast.....

  9. Well when I picked mine up it said 0kms. Even though I was suppose to get 500 baht petrol or whatever it was. I had to go to the first petrol station which was about 2kms away (estimate) and made it.

It probably goes for a bit on 0 I think.

You should have insisted on your 500 bt of fuel

I hate it when you make a post & it disappears as a new page is created.....

  11. Yeah, I thought about that and my place is 4 floors but I'd like to do it in the very early morning and just thought me clumping up apartment stairs 30+ minutes in the morning might be annoying for the people that live there.

    Thanks.

    Take your boots off? biggrin.png

  13. Update. Took the truck in today to get the aircon fixed. They fixed a leak & replaced the expansion valve & accumulator. 2000Bt. Running normal all the way home.

After driving the new Ranger for the last month, the Strada seemed rather "agricultural", and altho' the raised 4WD model, I felt as if I was almost sitting on the road. Oh, and I forgot about using the clutch when selecting reverse biggrin.png
