A mother in Pattaya is seeking information about her 20-year-old daughter, who has been out of contact for nearly a week and is believed to have travelled to China.
Rungpailin Ekchokchai, known as Bingo and Pi-o, was last seen at the bus terminal in southern Pattaya on 26 August. Her mother, Phaka, said she last spoke to her by telephone three days earlier, on 23 August.
Last call was on 23 August
Phaka told Channel 8 that she and her daughter live separately but usually speak by phone regularly, with Phaka calling once or twice each day.
During their last conversation, Bingo said she was feeling unwell. Phaka advised her to rest and told her she would call back once she was better, but said she has been unable to reach her daughter since.

Bingo is described as slim, around 165 centimetres tall, with long black hair and fair skin. No information was provided about what she was wearing when she disappeared.
Instagram video said to show China trip
Friends told Phaka they had seen Bingo post a video on Instagram which appeared to show her in China. The post did not identify where in the country it was filmed.
Phaka said her daughter had wanted to study in China and had returned from a visit there about a month ago. During that earlier trip, Bingo had remained in regular contact with her mother, Phaka said.
The mother is now concerned for her daughter's safety. She fears Bingo may have been persuaded to work for a scam gang or deceived into becoming involved in illegal activity.
Bingo's last known location was the southern Pattaya bus terminal on 26 August, while the last confirmed contact with her mother was three days earlier.
