PHUKET:-- Police are investigating the deaths of four dogs whose scorched remains were found near Ban Bang Niew Dam reservoir in Srisoonthorn last week.

Witnesses have reported that they earlier saw the well-known dogs suffer from what seemed to be poisoning.

The news came to the fore today (Sept 5)when Brit expat Natasha Eldred filed a complaint with the Thalang Police.

What are the other options to get rid of the aggressive soi dogs?

If a dog bites a person, there should be a mandatory death penalty to the dog. That way only the less aggressive dogs would survive and the dog population would become better.

If there is no official options how to deal with the aggressive soi dogs, then I guess the only option is to poison the whole group, which is really not the optimal solution.

As always the officials took the easy way out.

Their aim was not to solve the stray dog problem or make the lives of dogs and people in Thailand better, their aim was to look busy but do the least possible  (introduce a law but never leave the comforts of your office with AC).

The only option you have as a citizen is to solve the dog problem yourself, and that is made illegal with the animal cruelty law.

Thailand became a tiny bit worse, again, with this law instead of making it easier on the citizens of the country.

Ms Eldred’s love for animals meant that she often walked her dog at Bang Niew Ban Dam, where she and her friends also feed a pack of street dogs living there, she said.

Ms Eldred loved the dogs so much she was willing to feed them a couple of baht worth of shitty rice with chicken bones, but she didn't love the dog that much that she would actually take care of them.

A dog needs more than just some food and a pet on the head, a dog deserves medical attention, good food, training, attention, love, and an outlet in the form of activities the dog was created for.

She is part of the soi dog problem in Thailand, and even though she thinks she is helping she is not.
