Rescuers locate transvestite after Facebook Live suicide threat

By The Nation

ANGTHONG: -- Rescuers from a foundation in Angthong managed to locate and stop a transvestite from hanging himself on Facebook Live on Wednesday morning after being alerted by users of the social media network.

He had put a rope around his neck and cried, saying he was lonely and wanted to die.

Members of the Por Tel Tung Foundation quickly located the rented room where the transvestite lived, behind the Sattree Angthong School in Tambon Saladaeng of Angthong’s Muang district.

Rescuers spent almost an hour trying to convince him to open the door. When he did, a noose was found in the room.

He said he became depressed because of a lot of problems.

Almost 3,900 followers watched his Facebook Live clip and many told him to stop and expressed moral support in the comment field.

The rescuers called his friends and asked them to stay with him.
