LONDON (Reuters) - The British government should stop dreaming about having its own way in Brexit negotiations and start to get more realistic about the likely outcome of divorce talks with the European Union, said Jim O'Neill, a former Goldman Sachs economist.

Military steps up anti-smuggling measures along Thailand-Myanmar border

 

RANONG, 8th September 2017, (NNT) - The 5th Infantry Division Commander, Maj Gen Sitthiporn Musikasin has instructed his troops to step up land and marine security measures and to be on the lookout for illegal smuggling and illegal entry into Thailand via Chumphon and Ranong provinces.

BEIJING (Reuters) - When Kim Jong Un inherited power in North Korea in late 2011, then-Chinese president Hu Jintao was outwardly supportive of the untested young leader, predicting that "traditional friendly cooperation" between the countries would strengthen.

Floodwaters hit Thai-Myanmar border towns

Heavy rain in the Thai border area to Myanmar has caused Huai San-Khong rivers to overflow, sending floodwater to the 15th Forest Protection Unit in Tambon Na Pu Pom of Mae Hong Son’s Pang Mapha district since late Thursday night.

Prawit: Vehicle assisting Yingluck’s escape last seen near the border

The vehicle which was believed to take ex-premier Yingluck Shinawatra out of her home in Bangkok was seen near the Thai-Cambodian border in Sa Kaeo province, Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon said on Friday (Sept 8).

CityNews – Maejo University (MJU) will host a regional workshop on Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Agriculture for Sustainable Development and Food Security in Southeast Asia, on September 12th to 14th. The event is organised by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) in collaboration with ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB).
