Srisuwan asks NACC to investigate Anupong, 5 others over community forest land

Activist Srisuwan Janya, secretary-general of the Association for the Protection of the Constitution, on Monday (Sept 11) filed a petition with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), asking the agency to investigate Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda and five other people for alleged abuse of power.

 

The five other people named in the petition are Sutee Markboon, the deputy interior minister, Prateep Kiratirekha, director-general of the Land Department, Chote Chuachoti, director of the Legal Affairs Office of the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Interior, Kamthorn Thavornsathit, a former Khon Kaen governor, and Adulsak Lehkan, former chairman of the Ban Dong tambon administration organisation (TAO) in Ubonrat district of Khon Kaen province.

 

Mr Srisuwan, said the six were involved in giving approval for a private company to make use of 31-rai public land in the Huay Mek community forest in Tambon Ban Dong of Ubonrat district.
