AIS: email to MMS service

Featured Replies

There are some old posts about an AIS service which allowed you to have emails sent to your mobile phone in the format yournumber@mms.ais.co.th but apparently the service was closed in 2007.  I would like to be able to get certain gmail messages routed to my phone based on some filter which requires being able to forward the mail to some other email address, eg number@.....  Is there a way to do this with AIS or some other provider?

I think AIS did away with that feature eons ago.

Some mobile providers do support this; Tmobile in the U.S.A. for example.

There are paid 3rd party SMS service providers that offer this service.

Are you unable to utilize mobile data (or WiFi) to check gmail? It seems like if you have a mobile signal, even 2G, to receive an SMS, you'd have mobile data as well.

Maybe add some more detail to your application, and other solutions might present.

Why dont you just create a second gmail account and then forward certain emails

Yes, I think this will work.  basically I want certain urgent emails that meet a certain criteria to wake me up.....   I was thinking previously about having the email generate a message to my phone which would beep, I should be able to accomplish the same thing by having the email forward to a dedicated email address that will have the phone beep.... thx

No need for forwarding or a second address, simply create a rule/filter based on your requirements, label it, then invoke the label in Gmail on the Android device to play a notification.

Plenty of guides out there, just one ... https://www.computerworld.com/article/2475971/android/how-to-create-custom-gmail-alerts-on-any-android-device.html

Thanks I never thought of doing it that way
