September 16, 20178 yr Last year I'm driving around on darkside of Pattaya and found working in progress of a copy of Angkor Wat. A lot of concrete was involved. Now, yesterday I was there again ... found the place nearly finished (for Thai understanding), but abandoned. Looks like a high end theme Spa/Resort. Millions (Baht) are wasted here. Anyone with background information ?
September 16, 20178 yr wow, interesting place. looks like pure luxury. a few scenarios I can think of: - superstitious owner and ghost sightings - owner dead or in prison
September 16, 20178 yr The water in the pool looks pretty good. Are you sure you weren't just trespassing?......
September 16, 20178 yr wow...I am surprised there are no squatters ! A few years back I was walking along the San Saeb near Bang Kapi Mall and noticed the complete shell of a Jetliner in the adjacent field. I went to investigate but quickly backed off as I realized there were people living in the plane and more than likely would not welcome a Sunday morning visit from a farang looking for Instagram fodder.
September 17, 20178 yr Probably now owner by the bank, but they don't know about it yet! I'm surprised they haven't torched it for insurance money!

So can you be a bit more specific as to where this resort is? Edited September 17, 20178 yr by giddyup

September 17, 20178 yr The famous Soi Lung Doi ghost resort. Once you have enter, your soul will be consumed by the ghost during the next full moon. Sleep tight.

Not to worry, no one can find it. It's location is a closely guarded secret by the OP, unless you can decipher his somewhat vague map.

September 17, 20178 yr The map provided by the OP doesn't help at all - only two roads are named and neither of them can be found on Google Maps, nor Garmin GPS, or Tom Tom. The only "Wang Hin" I can find is Wat Wang Hin near Sri Ratcha/Lam Chabang.

September 18, 20178 yr Now I remember this place. I've driven by it a few times and wondered what it was. I'll try to take a drive by in the next few days with an update. Looks really interesting. Bing maps. LOL. I think the problem was I was searching in the dark side for that road. It's actually Huay Yai area. I know that area well! LOL

September 18, 20178 yr Drove around it this afternoon, It's tucked away in a dead end loop north of Phoenix Golf course and south of Hue Yai Road, many workers there today building new statues and renovating existing structures. The architecture and statues are not Thai, maybe Balanese. Arnold Judas Rimmer of Jupiter Mining Corporation Ship Red Dwarf

There is also a link to a "Phananresort" website with some confusing info and template texts? (map pointer to North Vietnam ) Strange. http://www.phanananresort.com/contact.html It's south of what most call "darkside" in the Hua Yai area.
