The Meeting Place

Featured Replies

in nong khai there used to be a place called the meeting place, well as far as i know the chap who used to run it died around 5 years ago, at about that time and the previous few years i was living in a northeast village and was going through an horrendous time with the family and friends of my wife, and instances that were indeed life threatening.my wife and i were making a living by growing beansprouts and selling them.it had begun as an ideal healthy way of life.which was empowering as we were self sufficient but with that had no money for a telephone or luxuries of computing i was indeed cut off as the nearest telephone was a mile away at the nearest hotel , mobiles were too expensive and the phone connections to our small amphur had not been laid. there were times there when i was desperate to hear the voice of a falang .in our town there was only approx 5 falangs 1 norwegian 2 brits 1 dutch a german man and others who owned property but were not living there at the time,i often thought how wonderful it would be if there was someone or some where one could get help in time of need as often it is not your fault that you find yourself in difficulty.can i submit this topic as such a item.and call it the meeting place.........
