webfact
Police set to charge student with animal cruelty for ‘poisoning’ dog By The Nation Police will charge a medical student, who allegedly poisoned his dog to get compensation, with animal cruelty once they receive the full test results on the dog. Regional Medical Science Centre 9 Nakhon Ratchasima director Banjong Kitirattakan revealed on Monday that the analysis of the drugs found in the Pomeranian’s stomach was nearly done. Banjong said authorities had learned the drugs were not vitamins or a food supplement, as claimed by the dog’s owner. He said three drugs had to be tested. Yellow and white pills were found in the dog’s stomach and yellow pills were found in the dog carry bag. Only the test results on the yellow pills found in the stomach are yet to be completed. They will be available on Tuesday at the latest, Banjong said. He said the results will be handed to police. Police said they will charge to student with animal cruelty this week.
