Procedure for Dependant of retiree Non-Imm O to convert to 12 month extension

Featured Replies

Could someone kindly explain the actual procedure and docs required for the spouse of a retiree ( on 12 month extension) who enters on a Non Imm O single entry to convert to 1 year extension of stay.

Can they do it the day after they arrive in country or do they have to wait until last 30 days of the 90 day entry.  Also what docs would be required?

Thank you to all!

The extension can be applied for during the last 30 days or 45 days at some offices of the 90 day entry.

You will need your marriage certificate that has been certified by your embassy or the government where it was issued and a copy of it.

Copies of the passport photo page of the spouse that has the extension and their extension of stay stamp.

Note that the spouse of the retiree will only be granted permission to stay for the remainder of the retired permission to stay.

does the marriage certificate need to be translated to Thai and certified by MFA if its in english? My question relates to an Australian marriage certificate.

Therr is no need for a translation since it is in English.
