Here are the eight seven best Prayuth-in-Washington-With-Trump photos. Actually, these are the only Prayuth-in-Washington-With-Trump photos that we have so far, fresh in from the wires.

 

Immediate takeaways:

Prayuth seems wary of the Trump handshake. Did he study footage on the flight over of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s grip-and-grimace? Did he engage in a Macron-esque test of wills with the American commander-in-chief?

The height difference doesn't seem as great as some implied, not incongruous anyway.

Yeah right, Trump is 6 foot 2, unless Prayuth and his wife are both giants among Thais they were standing on a step for the photo.

Maybe, but can't be much of a step. Someone posted 1.75m (5'9") for Prayut, a 5" difference, which would mean he'd come up to about ear level, he's not far off that in the photo.

Compared to both of them General Prawit at 5'1" is a dwarf.  Mentally and physically I might add.

As about minimal a photo as is possable. No glad handing here....

You must watch the video, via the above link. Every time that Trump turns towards P1, he stubbornly refuses to share the gesture, looking straight ahead, as if, at all costs, to avoid eye contact. And then, as soon as Trump turns to the front, again, Prayuth turns to T as if to silently thank him for whatever kind words passed his way. It happens so often, it is clear that P1 is frightened to make that telling eye-to-eye contact . . . I wonder why.

 

I wonder, too, why Prayuth had to make such a clear demo that he was sporting his huge YELLOW rubber band, his lucky charm for the day. The message is all too clear - "Stuff this eye contact malarkey, with the world's number one . . . I'm yellow and don't you forget it." As LannaGuy has already remarked, a DISGUSTING showing from musket-man.

Im not sure but has he got his eyes closed ? savouring the moment  ! notice the hand shake  the General showing his superiority by always being on top and reminding Trump to shake his hand !!

Yeah, someone suggested that. Prayuth's 5'9" apparently, Trump's 6'2", doesn't need that much, heel lifts would do it.

It's an orange "I Love My Father" remembrance bracelet. Overwhelmingly popular among all Thai people for reasons that have obviously escaped you.
