BANGKOK, 7 October 2017 (NNT) - The Director General of the Public Relations Department (PRD) called on the people to prepare themselves and observe the information about the royal cremation ceremony for His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 26.

Government spokesman Lt. Gen. Sansern Kaewkamnerd, in his capacity as PRD Director General, advised the public to follow the information on the royal cremation ceremony for the late monarch through all channels, take good care of their health and bring food, water and medicine where necessary.

Those who cannot attend the royal cremation ceremony in Bangkok may lay funeral flowers at over 800 royal crematorium replicas in 76 provinces, he said.

Those who can travel to attend the royal cremation ceremony, may use parking lots available to accommodate tens of thousands of vehicles on the outskirts of Bangkok. They can take a public transport at five stops, including Arunammarin intersection, Wisutthikasat, Pak Khlong Talat, Manangkhasila House, Yommarat intersection and Royal Turf Club of Thailand and walk to the ceremonial area. There will be screening points where the people will be required to carry ID cards and not to bring weapons into the area.
