The Department of Special Investigation was asked by a group of customers of a brand of engine performance enhancement fluid to investigate the product importers for allegedly selling substandard product on Monday (Oct 16).

Led by Associate Professor Veerachai Putthawong, a chemistry lecturer at Kasetsart University, Mr Vinitchai Chalanukroh, a reporter of an automobile magazine, the group claimed that they were duped by the company because the imported engine performance enhancement fluid they bought did not work in enhancing engine performance as advertised.

Associate Professor Veerachai said tests of the product at a laboratory showed it contained a large amount of chlorine and paraffin which are banned in auto industry.

I'm in my mid-50s now... I guess I'll soon have to start putting this stuff on my cornflakes in the morning to enhance my engine's performance...

And of course they don't mention which brands of products .

Maybe imported from China ?, just a wild guess.

Could it be Brock Polariser?

Lots of stuff that make wild claims to improve car performance that actually do nothing or worse make your car less efficient while they are about it maybe they should investigate companies selling 'electric superchargers'

and 'budget fuel economy devices'

Not sure why investigating stuff any sensible person knows is 'snake oil' is a good use of a government departments resources though.

Thai love miscalls oh sorry miracles  !!!

In  a land where wild claims of products performances its just another day whilst no one has to justify the claims made the consumer is there to be had and the authorities allow this to continue. It may have to stop in 20 years time when Thailand becomes a developed country.

No its not the guy who owns it says it from the USA, but check the photos of his staff who are filling the for sale oil bottles from blue 45 gallon drums and you see its from PTT Thailand and contains paraffin and glycerine which is great for your skin but rubbish in your vehicles engine as many Hiso car owners have found out to their cost.

Story has been live on FB for over 3 months.
