Pib
I like how they added a warm & fuzzy lead-in sentence about a Jun 18 visit just before saying they are reducing the number of visits to Pattaya per year. They didn't indicate (or I didn't see any mention anyway) whether they'd be coming once a year or maybe every six months. Since the income verification is supposedly good for 6 months, some people may be forced to go to Bangkok in order to get one that will be accepted by immigrations. Note that they've changed the downloadable income certification form. Make sure you use the latest version.

ThaiBob
Love this, "In light of the proximity of Pattaya to Bangkok", implying it is a minor inconvenience to go to Bangkok. Last time I went to the Bangkok Embassy, I had no choice, I had to go by necessity. Required a night stay in a hotel plus taxi, etc., not at all convenient. sangtip2
I would like to know if I need to bring a photo with me if I want to apply for a replacement passport. They mention copies of passport but say nothing about photos.

Don't expect many local shops to know them. It's your responsibility to demand those specs.

That's really bad but I reckon it might be related to budget cuts to the State department globally.

sangtip2
OK bring a photo. I just did a visa for my wife to go to the US and the photo they had to have was digital and you could use their sizing / cropping tool on line to do it. Can I walk in with a "Hard Copy" photo and expect it to be what they want. For the visa application they were very specific about the photo. I wish they would give you a number to call to ask these questions.

Or maybe call the number given in the opening post announcement as it had an email and phone number for contact purposes regarding the visit to Pattaya. Partial quote below.
