The Royal Irrigation Department has warned people in six provinces below the Chao Phraya Dam that the water level in the Chao Phraya River will rise by 20-25 centimetres from Oct 24.

Continuous rain during the past week over Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun and Kamphaeng Phet provinces caused the water volumes in the Ping and Nan river basins to have increased.

As a result, the water level in the Chao Phraya River at Muang district of Nakhon Sawan has gone up, causing widespread flooding on both sides of the river.

My favourite fishing spot about half a k from where photo was taken, there is some serious water in this photo, most times you can almost walk across nr the dam. No fishing there then for a few  months. So off to Poolehall then, nice Catfish and Carp there.

Stay safe keep out of the water.

Where are all the Pinocchio officials now who constantly lied to the people about necessary release of water from the dams?

Must be my imagination, but didn't the government just claim there would be no further rise in the Chao Praya's level?

Yes but it wont impact downstream in places like Pathumtani (or Bangkok) at all....you see, in Thailand water works a bit differently . You can add water to one end of a Thai  swimming pool and it doesnt affect water on the opposite end.
