FolkGuitar
I haven't seen tape, but Ant Barrier chalk can be found in Tops and Rimping.
flare
Yup- the chalk works really well, and is easier to use than tape- the ants touch it and it’s like they hit a wall. Edited October 25, 2017 by flare
chingmai331
Sounds cruel. Ants are highly intelligent and very social: just like people. Don't leave food for the ants in your house and no problems will come your way. No need to kill.

Errrrrrmm, dunno about you, but the ants round my way seem to climb walls without a problem...

If that were true, they would be smart enough not to come in uninvited. :) David
rumak
In the olden days tried chalk...more than once. will work for a day or two, that's it. SOLUTION: there is a chemical sold in a plastic bottle called Chaindrite. You mix it with water in a spray bottle and spray around the area you want to keep ants out. It works (kills ants entering and also has residual effect.....MUCH longer than chalk. As a homeowner I spray around base of house every month or so and it works wonders. YES, i know this is used for termite protection also :-)
passingas
Dealing with ants is like trying to reason with hurricane season....if you don't want toxic crap in and around your home (and who does???) especially in ones kitchen (even with no food left around and kept hospital clean....) get some Dittol and a spray bottle, mix it about 1 part Dittol to 3 or 4 parts water and use as a spray....it not only kills them right on the spot, but covers their pheromone trial so others won't follow/come back, etc. Also make ant proof moats using a plate with some water in it and your bowl of what-ever in it....ants can't get to it. We had to do this moat thing (leg cups are available all over Thailand) with our kitchen hutch and made a special box wine (I know....no problem with ants getting into bottled wine) device and have never had problems with them getting into those. pg

Scientists discovered that if you spray live ants with a chemical naturally produced by decomposing dead ants, other ants will carry those live ants away as though they were corpses. All indications show that ants run pretty much on automatic pilot all the time. E.O. Wilson, the most famous ant scientist, likens individual ants to individual cells in a body. steven2018
You can clean the ant trails with vinegar. Eliminates their chem markings. Sent from Android using Tapatalk

They are preparing to take over the World, along with their allies the Cockroaches. when you have a big red ant hanging off your balls while gardening, should you kill it or just leave it. regards worgeordie
