How Much For The Laos Voa ?

Featured Replies

I went on a Thailand-tourist-visa mission

We went to Laos and got the 60days tourist visa

from the tiny Thai consulate.

Does anyone know what the price is for entering

Laos and the price for their Voa ?

I think the price for this company I used

was a tad bit expensive, so I'm trying to find

out how much it would cost if I had to do the trip on my own

Thanks in advance.

Its about $US30 but some passport holders pay more.

The visa fee is depending on the country of origin. But I believe that only applies to visas obtained through embassies and consulates, the VOA is 30 USD or 1500 baht, valid for 30 days.

I have payed $50 on the border - more expensive than from the travel agents in Bangkok

Where in Laos did you go? Did you fly, and what were the costs of getting there? Thanks.

The visa on entry price definitely varies depending on country of origin. From memory it starts from 30 USD and goes up to 42 USD. Canadian nationals have the honour of paying this higher figure. UK nationals pay 35 USD. If you arrive outside normal working hours you pay an extra 1 USD as overtime fee (visa valid 30 days).
