There are countless studies that prove beyond all doubt that migrants have a net benefit to the UK economy

In your language "The put in more than they take out"

Then I guess the UK is unique.

In the rest of Europe there are studies that show the immigration from Africa and Asia to be quite costly.

Yes, you are always right, of course! Why not use Google??

To brighten your limited horizon, there are other European countries beside the UK. - Oh, I forgot, they're (politically and economically) not in Europe anymore!

At the risk of being dismissed as pedantic:

the UK is still politically and economically part of Europe,

geographically it hasn't been part of Europe since about 6000BC,

whether its people consider themselves part of Europe? Well that debate has probably raged since the Romans poled up, and will probably continue to rage for ever!

None of which detracts from the point you make...

:sorry:

But then again the title of the thread was..........

Illegal Africans in Thailand: "The more we get rid of them the more they come," say police

So we are talking about the "undesirable element".........those selling drugs, dealing in prostitution, operating "romance scams", asking for help getting millions of dollars released from accounts in Africa, general thieving and mugging etc.

Surely there must be a genuine holidaymaker amongst them?

In a seething crowd of thousands of Loy Khrathong revelers yesterday I

may have seen two, a young couple could ave been from East Africa by the looks of th proving me wrong. More likely they are from Surrey.

Racial profiling?  If black Africans are commonly involved in crime, what a bloody good idea!!

Yes, deport the lot to Robben Island!

With a little luck, a new Mandela might emerge.

REALLY? The truth is when "farang backpackers" run out of cash they pretend to be teachers and after a one months salary they disappear. We Africans are loyal

Can’t just “pretend” to be a teacher without a university education, police background check letter from home country, TEFL certification & more. A one months farang teachers salary won’t get you very far either.

Nice try about the “loyalty” claim too. Made me laugh. More Africans bail on their employer after one month than any other farang.

As for 'the UK not being part of Europe anymore', in regards to politics and economy; it was an ironic remark, of course. But it certainly won't be part of the EU or a common labour market in the near future.

After reading some of these comment I decided to bail out from this tread as I now realise why many on here are not living in your own country as if you did you would be behind bars for racialism. Not all black people as you call them are bad, same goes for whites and Thai's.

To the Brits on here if you visit back home, keep the mouth shut if I was you as you will be behind bars it your mouths runs off that is for sure.

You are no better than any other colored person and yes white is a colour, get used to it.

Yeah all that political correct BS is certainly targeted at us whites.  Seems to be a fact that only whites can be racist whereas whites can be called all sorts of derogatory names and it just goes over our heads.  Maybe it's because the chips on our shoulders are not the size of logs as it seems to be with a lot of coloured people.  Oh BTW my gf has very brown skin and I don't <deleted>!  I prefer it!

 dot dot dot, “price”?

1st “prize” goes to an old hippy who has no idea what facts he’s talking about.

The colour of your GF proves you are not a racist?

Did slave owners worry about the colour of their slaves?

And please stop talking about "us whites". I am most definately white, but not one of "you people".

We are discussing black Africans I believe.  The point about my gf is that, as a lot seem to think, the colour of a person's skin is the cause of the racism.  Personally I don't care what colour a person is, provided they are law abiding and respect other people.

Yes, I think slave owners definitely worried about the colour of their slave`s skin!  If they had a white slave they would probably be breaking the law OF THAT TIME.

I think I am very entitled to talk about “us whites” being white.  If it gets up your nose pretend you are not one of “us people”.  Maybe put some flowers back in your hair (if you are lucky enough to still have some) smoke another joint and dream of San Francisco!  555

Africans will not be stopped from coming to thailand, this is just more racist "black bashing" by thai media/police.

Africa and thailand are linked much more than farang countries due to trade deals (ex. oil/rice/textiles/seafood). This leads to many visa loopholes.

Obviously there are also huge black market links as well, thailand being a big producer and africans the best smugglers .

African girls also popular in bkk amongst whites/arabs so they will keep smuggling humans as well lol.

A huge black market was that intended as a joke

I doubt a racist would date a person that was different to the race that they considered themselves to be (even though the concept race is scientifically BS but some people believe it is accurate to classify humans on melanin levels)

I don't think slave owners worried about the colour of their slaves: dark slave owners owned dark slaves, light slave owners owned light slaves, light slave owners owned dark slaves, and dark slave owners owned light slaves. Seems like being a despicable human being that owns slaves has nothing to do with melanin levels. :saai:

Why does the fact that I come from South Africa make my opinion that slavery is despicable, "interesting"? Don't most people consider it an abhorrent practice?

I was mostly referring to your opinions about race. Did it not take some time before the "blokes" in SA changed their ideas about race? Therefore I find your opinion interesting, I was not attacking you.

You also said: I doubt a racist would date a person that was different to the race that they considered themselves to be

Euhh... unless they are old & ugly and can not financially afford to date a young woman of their own "superior" race? There might be some of those around on this forum...

In this thread you (rightfully) point out that people are being erroneous because they make judgements on an entire group of people purely based on where they come from, yet your comment to me implies that somehow, because I'm South African, my opinion carries different (higher or lower, who knows) merit. Could you elaborate what you meant, please? To be clear: I'm not trying to be argumentative, but because typed words don't convey tone your post could be considered snide or genuine.

EDIT TO ADD: You replied whilst I was typing. Your response is clear now.
