WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Construction of the Dwight D. Eisenhower National Memorial kicked off symbolically on Thursday after years of opposition to the late U.S. president's $150 million monument by critics who balked at its cost and size.

(Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's @realdonaldtrump Twitter account was "inadvertently deactivated" due to human error by a Twitter Inc <TWTR.N> employee on Thursday and was down for 11 minutes before it was restored, the social media company said.

DPM for Economics tells Transport Ministry to speed up investments

Thai Ambassador in China highlights economic opportunities

BANGKOK, 3rd November 2017 (NNT) – Thailand’s Ambassador to China has assured investors that the Thailand 4.0 and Digital Thailand initiatives are synchronous with China’s trade and investment plans and should result in Chinese private capital flowing into the Kingdom but noted that legal changes to better accommodate the development are needed.

Thailand starts 90-day trial of cigarette ban, violators to face one year in jail

Starting Feb. 1, smoking will be strictly banned on all Thai beaches, which means having even a quick ciggie could land you in a Thai prison for a year or fined up to THB100,000 ($US3,000).
