What type of dog is this?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if any can help identify the breed(s) of this dog. Of which I am, by default, the proud new owner :)

It looks like a Shitsu...

Very easy dogs.

Our Heng-Heng is 16 years old (my GF says he is a Shitsu Toy bcz he is half as big as other Shitsu).
2 years ago he lost one eye and this year, he had water in the lung and has heart problems... but he is still very playful.

He eats cucumber or green beans every morning.
We also have 2 big dogs (Labrador-mix) but Heng-Heng is the boss!

Looks to me not a purebred Shitsu. Probably a Poodle Shitsu mix.

Affectionately known as a Pooshit.

No, a Shitsu & Poodle mix is called a ShihPoo.  I know because I have one who is 8 year old. lol

I have one of these too... think its a Shih Tzu X poodle in your case.  Mine is a Shih Tzu X Bichon Fries mix.. as her fur is really fine, soft and fluffy like birds down feathers.

They make very good pets, no fur shedding, easy going and good health usually.

This is a very rare bread Is a "Pushkin Rhapsody" As a matter of fact you are the proud owner of that very last

Member of that breed You should be delighted you have such a rare breed Very loving Full of love and very playful

and extremely  smart

Be happy

Just kidding It really does not matter as long and you love him

Where do the battery's go in?

Er, but this is a Heinz 57 Thai dog, isn't it?

Are you saying it's pure bred?

I can see a lot of West Highland Terrier in there.

that's not a dog, it's a furry rat.

Obviously from the Terrier breed. Little Yorkshire.

Inside, the owner probably did not yet realise it is NOT a real one, one cannot stop progress.

I saw a similar animal outside my gate and asked 'What breed are you?' and it said 'Ruff'......

Shihpoo ?
Labradoodle?
Cockapoo?

All very posh names, but it’s just a fancy way to say you have a mongrel.

Looks like a fair amount of West Highland Terrier to me. Not a purebred.

IMHO you are a lucky man. From the expression on its face in the photo, you have a friend for life.

Perfect! I’m more than happy with a mongrel - as I was with my last dog, also a mongrel that I chose from the pound instead of a pedigree from a breeder friend.

I think "cute" would be a good descriptor.  :)

I can't tell you what kind of dog that is but for sure it's not venomous.

Although I have always had purebred dogs (as I require specific traits), mongrels in general are usually a little bit healthier. Some research found of the 20 most common conditions seen by vets, 3 were more significantly seen among purebreds (ear infections, obesity and skin issues). Mongrels are good sturdy dogs.

Good luck with the little fella :)

I went to a zoo once.  The only animal they kept in the zoo was a dog.  It was a shitzoo. 555

Here's mine

Similar to ours, he is about 8 years old, he is no trouble at all, we have to keep away from the soi dogs though, they would probably do great harm to him.

Could be worse, like a Bulldog-Shitzu mix (BullShitter).

My other dog, he thinks he rules the house.
