rooster59
Villager found dead in Khao Yai forest By The Nation A villager died while collecting wild fruits and edible plants inside a forest of the Khao Yai National Park on Friday. Villagers helped carry the body of Banthai Thawichai down from a mountain in the park to Saonoi Waterfall in Tambon Phongam in Prachantakham district at 10pm. The body was later sent to the Prachantakham district hospital. Doctors believed the man had died about 10 hours earlier. There were no signs of any attack hence police sent the body to the Police Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of the death. His friends, Boonyung Saripuang, 52, and Rawang Klinkrai, 54, said they had gone up the mountain together on Wednesday to look for food and after that they dispersed. When Boonyung went to check Banthai’s whereabouts on Friday morning, he found his friend’s dead body. The two friends tried to carry the body down but they were deep in the forest on the mountain so they went down to seek help from other villagers. The authorities believed the man had died of heart failure as he appeared to have consumed drinks in the cold weather.
