brewsterbudgen
My wife will be submitting her Visitor visa application shortly. Do we need the original Thai birth certificate for our son and our legalised/certified UK marriage certificate or are copies ok? If the originals are required do VFS check them and then give them straight back to my wife, or do they go to the Embassy and then get returned with her passport/visa? I don't want to lose them! theoldgit
When my wife applied recently for a visit visa she took original documents and translated copies, they were checked by VFS staff and the originals returned on the spot.Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
Guemlum
Hi BB my wife provided her original birth certificate as well as a copy, but no translation. All 3 applications were successful. I cant comment on whether the translation of the B.C is actually necessary. You'd think that a passport and ID card which both have their D.O.B on would be suffice. We also provided original wedding cert and translation with copies of each. Good luck with the application mate. Regards Guemlum
