Six men aged from 22 to 35 were taking for immediate defrocking before being charged for drugs offences.

A large amount of drugs and drug taking equipment was taken into evidence.

There were 89 Ya Ba tablets, 90 grams of krathom leaves, ice, krathom tea and 4.2 grams of cut up ganja.

Really foolish !!!....these "monks" will contribute to eliminate their privilege fast tracks at Swampy Airport !!!!..

...and their honest counterparts may endure deeper body checks during check-in's !!!!...

....but...but there is a light of hope as the issues are not hushed up, so perhaps things may change ?....someday ?

In fairness, these were not real full time monks. They are the revolving door type. Perhaps it would serve everyone's best interests if they gave these "temporary" monks a different colour other than orange to wear and used the term monk candidate, allowing them to be monks only after 2 years of clean and sober life.

I agree with you, only problem with allowing them to be monks after 2 years of clean and sober living, there would be none left to then become monks.
