But I'm not - just an observer who has lived in Thailand and Cambodia.  I have a Masters, and could teach undergrads in my field, if desired - but have not chosen to work since coming to SE Asia. 

 

The irony is, my university-education added exactly nothing to my abilities - it was just done to "qualify to apply" for jobs - to get through HR's hurdles.  Most (not all) university "learning" would be best replaced by on-the-job training.  That could be enhanced by some on-line courses and standardized tests where knowledge of "theory" is necessary.
