This is one of the best questions I've seen posed on TV. Disappointing that it's not being taken more seriously.......some of us don't have the time to travel to CM for the pew khao poo ying.....and wouldn't mind practicing our Japanese over a bowl of sushi. The place that Terry mentioned on Koh Tao does exist (I did diving there). Can't say the women were much crack though, as they generally didn't speak enough English and stuck to their own (so to speak).

I was in Soi Cowboy years ago and a few jap. tourist girls were seeing the sights there. So there around, you just got a keep an eye open and see whats coming.

Loads of cool Japanese chicks in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. They are doing all kinds of different things: studying Thai, cooking, English, doing volunteer work, teaching Japanese in the countryside, etc. I know some working for some Japanese companies, and yes they were both hired here and sent over from Japan. I even know one girl studying Muay Thai. Used to be some nice birds at the UN office too, not sure if they are still around.. Several friends are also married to Thai men. Some of them are gorgeous, some are not, but they are all pretty interesting, highly knowledgeable, and with a bit of curiosity and dynamism I like. And some very critical opinions too about things, that can be refreshing. And they never talk about money.

Its all networking. I unfortunately met them all through my Japanese girlfriend who has lived here for years. She suggests Thanglor and Asoke areas for meeting Japanese who live here. There are community websites such as Mixi, but they are only in Japanese. The Japanese Library on Asoke might be a good place, same building as the Japanese visa section is located. Lots of books in English and Japanese, also good place to meet Thai gals who are into things Japan.

My guess would be to try and fing Japanese guest houses.. (there are plenty) in and around BKK. They advertise on Japanese websites.

Which Japanese websites? I've read the most popular Japanese guidebook about Thailand, subscribe to most of the ten or more free papers distributed among Japanese community in Bangkok, browsed numerous websites in Japanese about Thailand, haven't come across any info or an advertisement of a single guest house catering Japanese tourists in particular. In fact, I don't remember seeing any advertisement of a guest house in Japanese (except those listed in guide book).

Language schools in BKK (teaching English or Thai). Though, many Japanese at those establishments are wives of Japanese businessmen killing time and socializing with the other peers, some of the young female students with no ties to Japanese company might be taking their studies too seriously to be bothered with flirting farang.

And yes, many Japanese companies don't send female employees to work overseas, or for that matter men, unless they're married. But I know a single young Japanese girl working here (not locally hired) and I have a friend whose Japanese wife working for Toshiba was on assignment in Shanghai for a few years.

Also, most 4 - 5 star hotels have Japanese guest relations who are usually young, 20 - 30ish Japanese woman.

Virtually impossible, in Thailand. You really need to take a trip to Japan! There are alot of them there. There is no doubt that many of them, are some of the finest women on the planet.

I don't know if it still the case but 12 maybe 15 years ago you could go to the bars off the lobby in the Peninsula Hotel in the evening and there would be Japanese ladies dressed like movie stars who were there for the express purpose of having an affair with a Western guy. Most of them were successful business owners who might be married but this
was their opportunity to spread their wings. You had to look like a gentleman so Twatpackers and Cheap Charlie Expats were not on their radar. You would dress properly, act properly and sit in the bar and catch the eye of one of these Japanese ladies and by the way there were always at least a half dozen of them. You offered to buy them a drink and asked if you could sit with them. Once they accepted you were home free unless you were a clueless idiot. You were invited to their room and did the mattress mambo and out the door you went after. They were not looking for a relationship only one night of sex. When I look back on those days it is with fond memory.

I'm happily married now but some years ago I would get a taste for Japanese women. I developed a couple friendships with benefits with Japanese expat ladies. 

 

What is crazy is that many Japanese women in Thailand are wives of Japanese expats working at the big industrial estates. So, during the weekdays, these women don't see their husbands at all and I suspect that the wives know what many of the husbands drinking nights out (in Thailand) involve. 

 

I found some of these women looking for companionship. However while often beautiful, they tend to be middle aged.
