The armed forces-appointed fact-finding panel “has several doubts” about the death of Pakapong Tanyakan, a freshman of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, said the panel chairman, ACM Chawarat Marungruang, deputy chief of staff of the armed forces.

The committee would consider the case carefully, with committee members making field examinations and the committee will not stick to the information of any party concerned, be impartial and will not be restricted by timeframe, ACM Chawarat said on Tuesday (Nov 28).

He went on saying that the investigation would cover all aspects of the case, including eyewitnesses, circumstantial witnesses, the scene where the victim died, CCTV system as well as reports of medical examinations, among others.

And if they come up with any other explanation other than the truth, which he was beaten to death, no one will believe them, as is right.

when it comes down to pinpointing specific people, i bet their boiled-down result will be 'lack of evidence...' and thus avoid having to do anything constructive

Elsewhere, it is reported that the investigators have already determined that the private had some sort of medical condition that resulted in "brittle bones".

The script will go exactly like this.

One can only hope for the parent's sake and fore the sake of the military that the investigation is truthful no matter the outcome.  The army cannot endure a cover up and expect to have the endorsement of the Thai people.

... Of course he does...

And of course, we all know he will...

Because: everyone knows that 'good people' don't tell porkies. And we can all trust him.

Ain't that right?

Is that case the same soldier?

Wrong country.

From the extrajudicial executions ordered by Field Marshal Sarit to the massacres of '73, '76 and '92, from numerous conscripts and cadets dead due to training accidents to Tak Bai, from the Dr. Hathaiporn Imwittaya incident to exploding weapons arsenals, the Thai military is nothing but cover-ups and most importantly the Thai military neither seeks nor requires the endorsement of the Thai people, it rules over them and is not accountable to any external body.

Yep, you're right. This is another probe into a private with the army. My mistake.

So there you have it the acknowlegement  that it will be a cover up.

Because of that one word in their title which conveys impunity. The same word as in the title of the Police, and for the same purpose.

And yet it's the Thai people who buy the guns that these gangsters terrify the Thai people with as a result of having the impunity provided by that one word.

What's wrong with this picture for God's sake?

I am supposing that the cadet didn't die from brittle bones, someone attacked his heart with feet and fists it would seem perhaps probably maybe.
