Motor Expo Opens With All Eyes On New Models (Cars Too)

BANGKOK — Motor Expo 2017 got underway Friday at Impact Muang Thong Thani, and with it a read of the cultural barometer that is how the promotional models are dressed.

 

A trend toward more conservative attire that saw promotional models, or pretties, cover up while the nation was in mourning has endured, with models eschewing overtly sexual clothing in favor of more demure evening gowns or casual wear.

The Ministry of Culture will be so proud although the long leather boots are a bit S & M. The only thing missing is a few whips.

This will affect (male) attendance for sure 

If they all wear long dresses or pants , then there's no reason to go.

How are we supposed to check what is under the hood if it is closed? 

Sheesh... here we are in Thailand, land of very, very attractive women, and the 2 picked as models to represent the expo both look like they went 12 rounds with Evander Holyfield. 

Prayut ranted 2 years ago about the models wearing provocative clothes. They covered up. Also it was easy to take a direct van from under the expressway by Victory monument to Impact. No more vans. I'm not going any more.

Thankfully it wasn't Mike Tyson...........they still have ears.

Is just the usual vigo-revo-boring Thai bog standard carts or do they have something interesting and prohibitively expensive imports too? Applies to both cars and the horrible "pretties".
