CD/DVD Copies Where?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Yes sometimes people still want a CD or DVD.  I have some important information on CD that I need to send to multiple parties but my Laptop doesnt have a CD Burning these days, in fact many of them dont even come with it.

I need to get a handful of copies of this CD and want to know where I can get that done

Thanks

Most print and copy shops will also do that for you, especially ones near a University

If it's just a one-off project, I agree with @tonray but are you sure the drive in your laptop isn't  capable of burning? If it is all you need is some free burning software. Apologies if you have checked but your OP says ".....my Laptop doesnt have a CD Burning...." so I'm not certain if you've checked the hardware or just don't have the necessary software installed. On the assumption that you're running Windows, take a look in Device Manager - that will show you.

Mine looks like this and it IS capable of burning CDs and DVDs.  I can search for "tsstcorp cddvdw sh224bb" to check

Hey guys,

Yeah I found a place pretty easy, just a photo shop and they did it for me

My Laptop doesnt have a CD or DVD at all. A lot of the newer ones, especially the more portable ones don't even come with one anymore

As an aside, you can buy a USB plug-in CD/DVD player-burner for about 200-300 baht in most of the accessory shops. Second-floor rear of Computer Plaza carries them. Same with diskette players for those folks who have trays full of old diskettes but newer computers that don't read them. Neither are much larger than a normal CD Jewel case.

Do you need to send physical DVD/CD's or just the data?

If just the data/videos etc just use the inbuilt ISO burning programme  in Windows and send the resulting ISO file(s) out as attachments, cloud, one drive et al and the recipient can burn a CD etc as required.  Most media/data is now on line, no need to send or burn a physical copy.

PM  me if you need clarification.

Yes, but you should be able to buy a plug in player/ burner.

PS. Just saw that was suggested already.
