BANGKOK — The investigation into a 19-year-old cadet’s academy death will be completed “soon,” military officials said Tuesday.

 

It’s been a week since the military convened an inquiry into Pakapong Tanyakan’s death, which has drawn widespread attention and suspicion of foul play, and an independent attempt to explain his death stalled out. While the top armed forces commander renewed his pledge for a swift process, a spokesman said there is no deadline.

Swift isn’t the same as thorough or fair. 

just need to make sure they are singing from the same page

Yea, “we’ve swifly come to the conclusion of no foul play. Also, we are are amazing”.

Define 'swift'and 'soon' lift up the carpet and make space, for that's where its heading....

I'm sure Pakapong's parents would disagree - the line is dead.

Spokesman might have been a little more empathetic by referring to, ie., time line or completion date. At least he didn't say, "there is no termination date."

I believe it ended before it began 

Oh they may force a quick end to the inquiry.  But that doesn't mean the proper or real results or truth will come out

My Son in Law has just come out after two years he said that Regimental  Beatings a riffe, I have pictures that he showed me on his phone.  I would not post them on here , There would only be repercussions as some of the lads are still in, If they treat them better and paid them a bit more there would be less absconders,  A few have young wives with children who are expected to manage on their own for two year with very littel or no money. while they are in they teach them very littel, its all polish and marching for the Conscripts, Pity the Thai Government does not take advantage of the situation and at least teach them some skills,  So when they come out they have options,
