Police reform committee decides to leave investigation team at Royal Thai Police

BANGKOK, 6th December 2017 (NNT) - The government-appointed committee in charge of the reform of the police has reached a conclusion on the investigative responsibility of the law enforcement office.

Mr. Manit Suksomchit, chairman of the subcommittee in charge of social communications, under the national reform committee on the justice system (police), said on Tuesday that the main committee had agreed with the proposal of the subcommittee on law enforcement regarding the structure of the investigative team, which will focus more on the investigators’ expertise, independence and career advancement.

In the proposal, Mr. Manit said that the subcommittee has suggested that the investigators still work under the Royal Thai Police or the national police bureau, and for it to be made possible for investigators with promising potential to have the opportunity to tender their names to be elected as the national police chief.

The subcommittee stated that the chief of each precinct and the head of the investigators must work together while any disagreement related to any case will be decided by their “commander.”

Mr. Manit said that the police reform committee will present details to all relevant parties and agencies before submitting a final report to the government to consider passing it into law.

"The subcommittee stated that the chief of each precinct and the head of the investigators must work together while any disagreement related to any case will be decided by their “commander.” "

What if the reason for the disagreement is the "commander"?:saai: And what's with the quotation marks? Are they not really commanders?

As I said there is no legitimate reforms with this free loading regime. The reform took place long ago with a juicy split deal. To ensure the old pensioners have enough coin for the nursing village. Along with private security. Some relocating abroad.

Or this in the real world:

.... with promising potential to have the opportunity to tender their names to be selected as the national police chief in the next coup.
