Everybody is shocked, horrified and disgusted, but no proof of any

of it actually happening apart from a one guy who's dazed and confused

missing some money, dose anyone have proofs that indeed an asult

took place on anybody?....

This is why women don't report rape, they get accused of making it up every time.  I mean, what exactly would she gain from making this claim?  I believe her story.  We all know cops are totally into bribes and up in the wilder parts this seems totally in line.  Hick cops do this in USA too by the way.  The sad thing is that the police here are definitely not going to do anything about it.  At most a statement might get issued saying they are investigating.

Sanook were told that on November 25th contact was made through Facebook with a man's mother allegedly coming from a policeman in the Mukdahan area.

And the facebook account belonged to whom?

that would have been too easy, right?

Attempted extortion seems the most appropriate. Lets be factually correct and not go overboard on the hyperbole.

Who are you Harvey Weinstein?.

Wait till you have a daughter and see if you react the same why if this happened to her.

Read the article, nothing happened to the daughter, she was the one who reported it about her brother.

Nothing happened to the daughter...... or the mother.

has anyone seen or been shown  any proof it happened yet, only taking 500 baht seems a bit odd as well, while if true it is pretty bad it would be great to see proof it actually happened as stated, should be easy enough really. So far it is only based on what has been said by the girl, facebook posts etc would be very helpful, the other thing is we have seen people impersonate police/army  before as well, still many unanswered questions here that need proper investigating

And do you really think that will happen (investigation)?

The police officer asked a 16 year old to send naked pictures to him.

It is important when commenting on an article that A) one has read it, and B) that one has understood it. Otherwise one might appear to be just a silly person.

The cop said that her son had been found to have ten Ya Ba tablets on him at a checkpoint. He said that her son faced 5/6 years in jail and a heavy fine.

But he would forget all about it if she agreed to have sex with him. This was later changed to agreeing to let him go if she sent pictures of her genitals to the officer.

Contact with the local police station revealed that no one was in custody for drugs on that day.

It seems that the son was known for taking, perhaps selling Jaba, because they seemed to believe the story in a second.

But something doesn't add up here and it smells damn fishy to me. Dr. Watson?    :post-4641-1156693976::shock1::post-4641-1156693976:

Extortion  / sexual assault which are you more comfortable with?

Accusations is a more accurate term...if she were to provide the facebook posts, I'd lend more validity to her claim...

My comment was made because I doubt the police would use facebook to contact a family.

my GF's older brother got caught stealing some farm machinery (in a drunken stupor) and my GF was contacted by police via facebook.  as i recall, he didn't have any ID on him and the facebook effort was made trying to figure out who he was, rather than notifying the family of his crime, etc..  i was very surprised, never underestimate the power of facebook !!

Yes I agree, only taking 500 Baht does seem a bit out of character, of course there could be a simple answer as to why, something along the lines of perhaps that was all there was to take

And Prayut has finished reforms just like his ministry finished.

If was my mother l put this guy down like floor Matt.

Sounds like soneone been smoking or taking something

Was driven somewhere then given a drink which nocked him out

Then he recovered not knowing what had happened and money missing

It was implying that the bib were not the ones contacting the family.

That would be why I quoted the part of the story reporting this.

I made no mention of the victims ordeal later being reported on facebook.

That would be because I believe their  version of events.

Right, the highest protocol would continue to be observed whilst orchestrating a shake down.

No, I fully believe the bib capable of such behaviour, I just don't think they'd do it via facebook.

Nothing to do with protocol.

Duh!

I never underestimate their stupidity, greed or averice, but they like to get up close and personal.

Using facebook would be within the boundaries of their stupidity, but not their ability.
