Yesterday my laptot could not find my modem ( linksys wifi)

i entered in the modem through http://192.168.1.1 and oh surprised my username was an other one finishing by @hinet.p????????????

i typed my real password and the connection went back .

Can somebody explain how my name has been changed?

IS it possible that it comes via maxnet through the line??

Today again my laptop could not reconize the modem so i went through the modem again my username is ok but i notice something strange:

in service name there is written "CAT" i cannot remember what was written before.

Can somebody help me on that?

What is supposed to be written in front of username??

the first thing i'd do is stop admin access through your WAN port. I'm not familiar with your hardware, but there should be an ACL list or security section where you can restrict access by MAC address etc..
