A court in Thailand's south has ordered that land given by a 106 year old man be returned to him after his sons and a grandson failed to take care of him.

But threats abound as one relative has claimed it is the dirty work of a daughter-in-law who wants the inheritance for herself.

The family feud is playing out in the Thung Song area of Nakorn Sri Thammarat.

The crime ridden province is well known for family's to settle their differences with guns but this time a court has decided that land handed out by Plot Raksasat, 106, must be returned to him.

As he was getting so old he decided to make the inheritance before he died but now it has created a lot of problems.

Oraphan Raksasat, 48, a daughter-in-law of the old man had earlier gone to the Thung Song police to say that Plot's grandson Suphanich Raksasat had threatened her claiming she was trying to get her hands on the wealth.

But a court has decided that Oraphan is a carer of the old man and he deserves his land back from his ungrateful family.

I know we're not supposed to play grammar cop here in ThaiVisa, but the OP is from Webfact, which presumably has some journalistic standards. Is it so difficult to understand that the plural of "family" is "families"?

Since the family will get the land on his demise, I'm not sure that's really in his best interest.
