Orton Rd Posted January 9, 2018 Share Posted January 9, 2018 Mrs friends boyfriend is on an extension (don't know which) due for renewal Jan 20th, a Sat. He gets back into the country Friday 19th no time to get up country to the office. Can he go and do the extension on the Monday, or has he blown it? OJAS Posted January 10, 2018 Share Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) Particularly if your wife's friend's boyfriend is on a retirement extension you might like to point out to him, for the future, that he can apply for a fresh extension up to 30 days before his current extension expires (or even up to 45 days beforehand at a few offices). Leaving it to the last minute is IMHO cutting it fine, in case the IO asks to see docs which he has not brought with him.
